Because you have to kill a Peko Peko Albetross bird, which are very high level, and anyone with master ranger does not have enough points left for combat to solo one. My hunting group, while gathering Nabooian avian meat, came across a few Peko Peko Albetross, and were able to bring down 5 in two weeks time. We sold them and split the money between how was there. I still have one actually.
The Albetross are found on Naboo of course. I'm not sure you can get missions for them though. They randomly spawn on the planet and require much time. When we ran into them, we were running out of Kadaara, doing missions. So hopefully that helps you.

Just get one for the quest. You might be able to find an armorsmith with a butt load of them and can probably buy one for about 100k.

I agree with Ebe - (call 911, she just had a heart attack) - how can anyone who has made Master not know this, and besides, the freaking lil armorsmith quest giver will tell you what to kill to get this stuff - or have you not found him either?

Thanks Tonteth. You will notice that that guy has not replied since his first post. That is cuz he is a forum troll, but since there are only so many interesting conversations going on at any one time, he resorts to flaming any chance he gets.
The forum is okay, despite trolls like him, I wouldn't get too worked up over him, I know i didnt

JB is one of our most respected members, not a troll. He is our very own "grumpy ranger" and we love and appreciete him. He was mean to you because you were mean to Ebe, one of our sweetest members. She has appologized for accidently not saying Naboo and /areatrack.
Areatracking is a neat skill, one of our best. Most everyone agrees that the best way to do it is to run your speeder around an area and then /areatrack to see what spawns you have generated. On Test Center I am always running into Peko Albatrosses (only the albatrosses drop the feathers) around New Unity which is in the Northwest. However, on Ahazi I ran into one right smack dab in the middle of the map. The only effiecient way to find one seems to be /areatrack and /pray.
I often see feathers for sale around Radiant. For a Ranger/Armorsmith probably the BEST way to get one is to buy one. Albatrosses kill me flat out in a single hit. They do area stun/dizzy/knockdown on top of the damage. Really nasty.
JB did post some tactics farther down the page. He is an amazing tactician so I might even try it again... or maybe I'll con one of my friends into trying it first!
