Broken promises, Unfinished Ranger Revamp of August 03. Being relegated to PvE only, and creature hunting only benefits of 140 skill points used.
I miss what Ranger could have been.

Well folks I have decided to leave the Ranger profession completely. I took up Master Musician and love it 100x more than Ranger. I can interact with others and it seems as if I am working towards something. Other than the HTFB and Tracking, there were no Ranger skills, I used anymore than the ones associated with Master Scout. I may come back if they decide to fix it, but the way things look that is never going to happen. Good luck to all of you.

Well,
I droped Master tonight. Keeping Tracking for now. However I will be exploring Commando or BH (both with CH in there). So I could be stripping away the Ranger and scouting as needed.
I will keep an ear on the Ranger boards, this is an exclent crowd.

Reasons I left...
I took Ranger as I loved the idea of my Bothan Ranger Pistoleer. I stuck with it even though I couldn't do all the things I wanted to do. The main reason for leaving was trying to use Area Track to find Chokus...I searched for (quite literally hours) and found about 2 nests (both without the help of Area Track to do it), only to have my Doc friend send me a tell saying that he'd got some minutes after logging. Also the Camping is USELESS and the Trapping line Pointless as I kill more or less better (due to time to throw traps) as I am now. The terrain negotiation and Camo abilities are a joke too as we have vehicles and Mask Scent which is about the same in effectiveness with none of the hassle involved...
Future...
I'll return to Ranger when it's been given the love that it so badly needed. I enjoyed my time as Ranger but I found myself getting more and more annoyed each time I tried to *be* a Ranger using the character as it is. I figured that while I'm paying for this game I should try out other proffs to see what they're like and return when Ranger is better.
