Thread: Please welcome our new Ranger Correspondent!
Welcome and congratulations, Mineras.
As I'm sure you've already seen (as if you didn't already know anyway) there's a lot to be done to get this profession fixed. I'm sure you'll hit it hard and do some good work that benefits us all. We all appreciate the time and effort it will take for you to stay on top of the profession's concerns and hopefully good things will come from this.
The only suggestion I would have right off the bat, as there are many threads listing problems/suggestions for the profession, would be to maintain some contact with the Scout profession coordinator as well, as these two profession have many commonalities and share many concerns.

I hope you are ready for an up hill battle.
Getting the Rangers current skills fixed is at least not too much to ask. Right?
I hope that this community can work together with you to achieve some of the many "fixes" and upgrades necessary/wanted to make the Ranger profession better and more well-rounded.

Hello Everyone, and thanks for the warm welcome.
To give everyone some background - I play a Ranger on Eclipse, and I have no designs or intentions of playing anything else (other than another set of skills to compliment Ranger, of course). I try to keep up with what is on the boards, and check them at least twice a day.
One of the best things you can do to help me, and future correspondents, is to take the second or two and rate the threads you read. This helps make threads the community things are good to the forefront, and helps grab attention.
The plan (handed down to me by Q-3PO) is for the correspondents, once a week, to submit the top 5 concerns for the profession. My plan to achieve this is to search out the 5 most common topics, and list them with a brief explanation, and follow that up with links to these boards that highlight threads with good discussion of the topics, as well as suggestions for corrections/improvements, etc.
Help me make Rangers a better profession by rating the threads you feel most important, and by coming to the boards and discussing what you feel is most relevant. I will do my best to see that the designers have solid information about what Rangers need in order to be a well rounded, competitive, and interesting profession to play.
