Thread: Camps are taunting me

One of my biggest regrets in this game is that I NEVER DIED during the time they had corpse runs in. I saw corpses but I never died and had to do one. I don't know what the heck I was doing at that point - crafting maybe? - but it wasn't dying. Or maybe I did and my corpse sat there for days without me realizing I had to go get it. I never had much to begin with lol, I probably wouldn't have thought much of it if it all disappeared at that point

Another big regret I hav is that I was never transported to 0,0. I sat in my camps all the time TRYING to be transported, I had a friend who HAD been transported, but it never ported me.

Those two little things have cut me out of a ton of "back in the old days" stories.

My only story is the day I made Master Scout and ran around happliy getting xp for masking against creatures (it had always just got me killed before). The next day they nerfed it to never break and give no xp. Gah! Figures.

Lol! Okay THAT did happen to me! Usually right back into the middle of whatever was chasing me at the time.

The best thing about a corpse run was if you didn't have spare cloths in the bank you had to make the run naked.... well just in your underwear. Plus my corpse was always surrounded by reds. So you had to get a buddy to draw off (we were too weak ti kill much solo) the reds so I could get to my corpse and loot my stuff back.

Ahh... the memories.

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

Well I don't know what to say I spawned everytime with my gear and i did play when they released it so I cannot understand what the hell you are all talking about. However, I will go with the consensus on this and just assume I was the luckiest basterd in the game. hehehe

Not to discourage the talk of corpse runs, but I want to go back to wilderness xp.

If you have the skill points for medic, I suggest you get a few wound medpacks (just need action and health) and find a melee class fighter to group with. After fighting for a few minutes, throw up a camp, heal or tend wounds on him, and disband the camp. If you can get a larger group with another medic, that is even better. A quick healing session will max out the wilderness xp. You can then go back to hunting after that.

If you are in a guild, this is even better. What guildmate won't help you with wilderness xp, while at the same time gaining xp and creds for themselves?
