It would be good if we could get an idea of what resources the kit requires so we can get a head start on collecting the proper types.

No idea on quantity as im going on the script detailed to me by the Trail Guide for the quest. He asked me to bring him the bone marrow of an etyyy mouf (hunting ground mouf), the hide of a minsynger and the "Mean" of an Unsori (meant to say meat heh) so im guessing these are the requirements.
IF you are right (which remains to be seen) then looted and not harvested components would be used in the crafting? That doesn't sit well with me. Hopefully you'll get the schematic soon

No hehe this isnt a certainty, its from the first line of the quest giver, he says to gather these items so for now we can assume these are the requirements until we can prove the otherwise. I just managed to write down the names and requirements before the servers went down and i got kicked. Hopefully once TC-Bria is up i can go and check my quest log once i talk to him and see if the requirements are organics or loot. I presume it is organics we need though seeing as though it asked for hide/bone/meat like every other kit out there.

Betcha it's Mouf Horn from the hunting ground, it's the onlybone replacementranger
scout harvestable resource in the game. I thought it was rather unique when I was just grabbing it for exp. But what it does is makes you get a little ways through a number of quests to get to the point where you can even get the resource to make the stuff.
The mouf horn will be the easiest, they respawn fast on the east side of the hunting ground, and they're soloable. I know for certain that I'll have enough Unsori meat to last a longlong time, it's the only thing you can harvest off them. You'll find them 3/4ths of the way through the Myndril caverns in the Dark Forest. They arelevel 78 and up, very challenging.I just hope there's a better place to get leathery hide than off mistyngars, they are tough to get to if you have to go past droids and gotals just to see them. It's a group effort to be on the ground floor of the Ryatt Traill.

Nothing so prosaic, it's just a tag for the story line so that when you kill a mouf it ticks off the quantity in your journal and gives you a sysmsg of blah resource found. n creatures killed na remain.
Heading back in just now to get to the bottom of this... damn spiders... /shudder
