Ranger Archive

Yea, I am, it just gets discouraging that we went without a fix for almost 2 years now. They should at least give us a little taste of something (mods) like they did the other professions (that are ahead of us for revamping, BH, smuggler, and SL).

We will get a revamp, although I dont think we will see it for another year or so.

Been trying out different things while the respec period was around (is it still going? I don't know and am not going to try anymore).

As I've got a few SP tied into Artisan 0030 for my vendors, I was already limited in what I could do, so not making CL80 for me was never a big issue.

What I was looking for was to get decent combat mods and still keep SOME harvesting ability. Tried dropping right down to 'just' scout, but, meh... anyhow, have ended up with Novice Ranger, Master Rifles and a little of BH. I could get slightly better mods if I dropped rifles for pistols but I just like my big T21 Cannon. (That and a couple of well handy Adv laser rifles)

As I flush the cr*p out of my vendors they'll get shut down too and eventually I'll put the SP from artisan int a line of ranger again.

Sage words indeed. At the end of the day nobody is forcing us to stay Ranger, it's a choice we've all made for ourselves. I dunno, I sometimes think we must all have had a communal hit up the side of the head with the stupid stick as we opted into a profession taht was broken 'forever', made the best of it despite all the problems and now, post CU, those of us that are left are even moredetermined to keep SOMETHING.

Now I guess it's time to start looking for the fights we CAN win and doing our best on those, instead of diluting our efforts by shouting about a whole pile of differnet things.

It can only get better, eh?

You can get master rifleman/master carbineer/scout 0030/artisan 0030 and still be just as good as a master ranger. Right now rangers dont do anything a scout doesnt. Plus you will be CL80.
