Thanks for the comments. I will say that I am proud to be a part of such a community.

/raise to occasion /summon all powers of persuasion and pomposity
This threat...erm...thread woke me up...that and the usable-as-emergency-drain-opener coffee from the vending machine.
All this time we have been begging rangers to be more effective, more fun to play--what a mistake! What a vainglorious folly!
We will rue the day ranger profession becomes deborked, or even--I shudder at the thought--popular! All the camaraderie will be drained from these august forums in a puff of 13yr-old angst.
Nay, I say, nay! Let us join our hands in virtual supplication to devs, and **edit** the encroaching danger at the bud: let's have them freeze the number for Master Rangers at present levels forever.
We will never, _never_, allow the unwashed masses to enter this most holy inner sanctum of rationality and reflection. Better borked than _popular_, eeew.
/sit down to well-earned applause

I'm constantly amazed at the lack of non-constructive whinging that goes on in the Ranger forum. Then I think "Why's that?" Because we're out there, having fun with our character, working round the rough bits and getting the best out of what we've been given.
OK, so a Ranger only 80% kinetic, no encumbrance duster jacket would be nice... so long as we also got a flamethrower/rocketlauncher/portable mission terminal turret to go on the end of our camps... oh, yeah, and, err...
nope, can't keep the whinge going. Maybe the dev's nerf'd it?

Yeah, most of the forums are people complaining. Those that complain keep complaining. Those of us that say "I love the game, I'm having fun" don't keep saying it. The bad posts are definitely the ones that get noticed more often.
