I started actually at the end of July last year. Made Novice Ranger in August and was 4/2/4/1 when I got deployed at the end of August. Came home at the beginning of December and Mastered a few days later. The only other thing I was working on was Creature Handler and trying out the LLC for BH's (/lookaway from JB). I have not given up any points in Ranger for anything else.

Can't quite remember when I mastered...probably January/February. Gave it up to grind. Now that my grind is coming to an end, I believe I will return to this mastery. My friends think I am foolish for putting points into a profession that has so little use, but I found use for everything I had before....and I will once again.

Started playing the game during Beta. Discovered I really like scout skills during that time.
At release, started playing on day 2 (since nobody could really play at all on day 1 thanks to server problems).
Decided since I liked scout, I'd pursue ranger.
Mastered ranger about5 weeks after launch, about early July of last year. First master ranger on Lowca AFAIK.
Been there ever since, in addition to master pistoleer/novice medic with that character (have 3 other chars on other servers as well).
