Are you suggesting a large amount of Ranger harvesting in that garden of "special" tobbacco behind my neighbors house? Hell, if we all go /forage there for a while, we should get enough um....supplies....to keep the devs happy for a while.
and if they still say no...well we'll give them a wedding cake and we'll take the rest of the...tobbaco.

HUNTING CABIN - Crafted by Architects, uses 1 lot, has 75 item storage capacity. Placeable on any planet with footprint of heavy harvester, acts just like a house with higher maintenance (BF heal, logout, etc), allows player ships (with consent) to land or take off. Not re-deedable (??). Only 1 per Master Ranger at a time and has a limited total life cycle (15 days??).
The only problem i see with this is that 15 day life cycle or any limited life cycle is going to limit the effectiveness of this feature drastically.
What happens if i have 10 super NS lances in there of 200k of herbi meat and it goes poof?
I dont like the idea of something that will surely be a vital piece of ranger equipment beging so vulnerable. I agree with the higher cost etc but i think limited life is abit too far and takes away some of the fun factor in it because all your doing is counting down to cabbin death.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I have not been able to play for a few weeks now (out of town) BUT I am home, gonna play hookey for a few hours this morning and play a bit I think. My head is still sore from a long late flight and closing a local bar, lol. My mouth is all dry and tastes like a Bothan slept there last night. ewwww.
Serje Misre - on the mission dificulty, this is for us as much as a "grouping" tool to add some usefull(less)ness to us. And thanks for the nice comments.
Ak'bear StarChaser - Nice idea I missed that on the fishing modifier (along with about 20 ideas I had mesa thinks)
Buzzlo - I think 150 year Gran Marnier would work, or we should loot a +50 Ranger Revamp Interest for the Dev's
Drakenev - I can agree with the /field dresing comments, I thought that might be a little overboard. On the Camps, what do you think (short of modular) do you think we should add to em?? (is there an older post of yours I should take a peak at?)
Owen-Lars - Gone
Phe'nix Antarus - Why do I have this image of a short furry Bothan sitting around the couch smoking something funny??
Calc - In the most productive way can I ask that we acually update our outdoorsman? Start a new something? I know the idea of modifying/scraping/updating that proposal has been brought up a bunch (even in your first post as the new corospondent) but alas nothing has been done to it. I did find Nemo's post similar to my revamp thoughts, but it is still the older stuff that seems to be hanging around the most
Now I am off to acually play for a bit

If I were in charge of making camps useful:
(short of modular)
1: healing rate experimentation
2: color & pattern customization
3: I would put the big radar dish to use, tie the HTFB into the future /track command. Select to camping console, select track, choose an animal... wait for sys message saying that a natural lair, or spawn was found
4: When overt, rebel/ imperial insignia
5: fix the laser fence.
6: Experimentation on number of uses for the same camp.
7: Increase buff/ healing capability (tied in with healing rate/ effectiveness)
8: I would make the HTFB a required component for a Squad Leader's fortification ability.
9: Holo-chess minigame
10: Allow BF to heal with entertainers (HTFB only)
11: Non-disbanding during combat.
12: Auto-waypoint to all members of the group if separated. (like the nearest mission wp)
just some ideas that have been thrown out before, plus a few new ones i just made up.

Well, I would still call "The Outdoorsman" the reference mission and have this as an include.

AWESOME work!
You have taken ALL our ideas of the last 3 weeks and put them into something coherant and I believe DOABLE for the Devs.
I LOVE the outdoorsman, but I believe this has just replaced it.
The only change I would make is about Stealth, If the current idea is unworkable by the devs, then just have Master Rangers be OFF the Radar totally for Stealth.
Otherwise, I support this totally.

Thanks Rooks, I have changed (removed) the stealth and tried to incorporate some PvP stuff without going stealth as, as much as I like the idea, I don't think the devs will go for it.

I still would not give that up.
- If they don't, our support of it might just have them thinking of ways to make us better that might actually count... enough to justify sucking 140 skill points out of a template.
- After all of the revamping is doneand they still have us underpowered we can go to that for the fix.
- We really don't know that they will not go for it. I don't feel that they have explored the idea enough just yet.

This may surprise you Fred but I agree completely. My (not so quite way of asking) that we do some updating to the Outdoorsman. There many great ideas running around there (your stealth among them) and a few threads like mine (Nemo, etc) but they seem to get lost after a few weeks and we end up back with the same proposal. I was hoping by spending some time on a skill set, writing a little story that as a community we might get behind some "revamp" of the outsoorsman.
I still would not give that up.

Great point on the continued push for stealth.
