I think that would be pretty cool, but I have another idea. Howabout a trap you can set like a camp? You craft it and set it. Then you could bait creatures/NPCs/Players into it. YOu could shoot at a creature until it charges you. Conveiniately you set a trap between it and you! BAM! It goes off. Thevictim is now slower, or weaker, or whatever. The trap would be less and less visible in PvP depending on the Lvl of the Ranger that set it.
I would find this very.......satisfying. (and fun) It would catch the whole Master of The Wild concept. I would love to see this added into the game. Input?

Rather than necroing a post (tho to be fair this one was still farly fresh, there was still some hair on its skull when you dragged it in here...) cut and paste the relevant parts int a new post, add your comments and then make your suggestion.
However, as was tenderly suggested to PvtPile by the JBMat, have a search/read through existing posts to see if its' already been covered.
There are issues to do with traps working against players. In the past the dev's seemed to believe this would be 'unbalancing' and open to grievage and suggested that traps will 'never' work against players. Now, well, who knows.
In the locked down holocron post, in the resurrected holocron post AND in the compilation post of all posts you will see that ground deployed traps have been suggested on a number of occaisions and, at one time, also seemed to have a bit of dev 'ohh thats cool' going for them. Now? Well, who knows.
Rather than just chucking out an idea and saying 'hey, I think this would be funky', try offering some suggestions as to where in the skill tree it would go, how it fits in with existing skilltree or if it needs new (part of your supporting idea for your proposal) skills. How would it work? How well would it work? What woul dbe the trade off? (There's always a price to pay, be it action cost, resource / time sink).
Flesh out your idea if you think it's worth it and folk might make suggestions, who knows, they might even support it.
Oh, and big fonts and teh und3rsc0re? Leave them at the door, we don't serve their kind round here

At the same time, Prvt looks like he's new here, judging from his post count, and doesn't need that kind of negative feedback.
