I dont know about these devs at all. You think they would actually fix some freaken stuff before adding in extra stuff. They should put their hole entire team on fixing all the bugs and THEN start to add new stuff and do the combat balance. I only can take so much CRAP from these guys. I'm pistoleer and ranger. Probably the two worst proffesions in the game. I just dont see how devs can pass over Pistols and give ranger crap. Its absolutly terrible...

Doesnt a MAster Ranger have a better chance of landing a sucess throwing a pdart than a master scout?

(please say yes )

Yes.

I'm sure we all feel the same way and had the same exp. For me, yea I might on the low "scout" level type creatures. But when I try landing traps on higher level creatures that I now hunt, the ones where traps would be useful, they miss as often as I did as scout on low levels. The skill in ranger don't seem to really ramp up enough to be enough of a help or difference considering you usually start hunting larger game in ranger. And as you should be, and be expected to hunt with greater ease because of ranger. To be honest though, for me hunting and killing animals, my ranger skill don't really help me. My success if from tactics I got from months of experience doing this. And scout mask scent, and scout P. Dart and scout glow wire.

True, but the answer is still yes. A Master Scout has a lot more trouble hitting a rancor than a Master Ranger does (although the Master Ranger still has too much trouble with it).

Sometimes I think that the Ranger community is too nice and that is maybe why things like both of the traps being useless since the beginning of the game get ignored. One can argue that the devs put Ranger on the backburner because nobody plays the class, but the counter would be nobody plays because they don't really get that much over a Master Scout. I was one of the first Master Rangers on my server and I see not much has really changed for the poor Ranger in the year the game has been out. Sure we got some tracking and camo kits, but, while neat additions, don't really flesh out the profession. Tracking would probably be the biggest thing we got. The sad thing is we were promised some other things as part of that revamp, like the ability to spawn creature lairs with another version of tracking, and we still haven't seen it.

I admire all the Rangers who continue to stick it out and make the Ranger forum the nicest spot on these boards, but sometimes I wonder if wegot nasty might we see moreaction. Probably not, I suppose, and I guess that is why the Ranger forum stays nice. It just makes me sad to think that even Image Designers got some love before Rangers did and I truly consider that to be a very useless profession. Just the very idea of a Ranger makes one think of grand things and it saddens me to see it not be so. Enough rambling from me, though....

I agree, but not nasty. I just see this place as WAY too complacent. I know that not much has changed in our profession in the last 6 months but does that mean that the community should do next to nothing? Most everything seems to have been debated, summed up and finalized LAST YEAR.

I love the p-dart trap so much I run factory crates of it now so I dont have to spend time crafting them singly... pound for pound or skillpoint for skillpoint rangers are getting the short end here...
