And from what I understand, the extra slot doesn't become available until after you have become Force Sensitive on your main character. Wouldn't this mean then that your main character on the server where you have 2 slots would have to be the Force Sensitive one and the second slot would be non-force sensitive? Also, if you Hologrinded to open your slot, I think it was the other way around. Your main character that you hologrinded with is still non-FS while the second slot that opened up would be the one you have your FS character on.
They did change the way FS/Jedi slots work.

Well guys this has been VERY difficult.
Basically, I'm a Ranger Rifleman, thats 232 skill points.
My other 18 are in 1xxx Medic with 1 skill point left over.
I spent a long time looking at various templates; whether i could drop Master Rifles or Ranger, whether I could drop novice medic and just spend 18 skill points in force skills, or whether I just use my spare 3 skill points.
I think I've decided on just using my spare 3 skill points as I know I'm never going to progress far with Jedi and I'd rather keep my Ranger just as she is than destroy her to put her at the bottom of the Jedi ratrace ladder.
So... 3 skill points... where to put them?
At first I contemplated having two in ranged weapon speed for +6 and one in either luck, ranged defense or melee defense. As it is now though, I'm heavily contemplating putting them in the first three boxes of the Ranger tree.
Yes that's right - I'm contemplating being force sensitive in camping, foraging, terrain negotiation, mask scent and trapping....
Bugger it. Bugger the Jedi - I'm a god damn Ranger and I'll put what little extra I have into that. One day, when Camby retires and I want to move her on, I may consider moving her on to unlock a second slot, and I'd like to think my new slot would also be a Ranger... I've often considered Squad Leader Ranger and that may well be something i aim for when I get a new slot. But I'm no where near that time yet.
So let's look at it.
Foraging bonus: Okay, that's going to be a complete waste of time I think we'd have to agree.
Trapping bonus: Anyone managed to do any tests yet? Anyone signs of better results on trapping high end monsters? If my phecnacine dart has a 10% better chance of slowing down that Rancor about to whup my butt, I'd consider that a skill point well spent.
Terrain Negotiation: Well, I practically never crawl... I suppose the +5 would possibly increase crawl speed, which i think already i can crawl as fast as some people walk!
Overall, it's not useful but I don't mind having it.
Camping bonus: Well surely this is just a complete waste of a bonus.
I appreciate it's not really made for a Master Ranger, but who knows, maybe one day camps' healing modifier may be related to our camping bonus or something. Who cares, we all know our camps are the coolest thing in the game anyway don't we!
Maskscent bonus: Well never know here, this just might be useful. If it increases effectiveness by 5% for example, I'd be happy. I love maskscent, and if it improves performance I'd be delighted. Again, have there been any tests on this yet?
The box that I can't get is Creature Knowledge and Harvesting. I somehow imagine Knowledge is useless to a Master Ranger, though obviously the harvesting bonus will be appreciated by the Rangers here. Still crazy to compare what we recieve from our Ranger related branch compared to what can be obtained from the combat branches for example. But bugger them all... I'm a Ranger, and now I'll be a slightly better Ranger.
I don't need no stupid speed bonus, accuracy bonus, healing bonus, defence bonus or any of that shiznit!
I CAN /FORCE_FORAGE!!!!!

After much thought, I've deceided to keep novice Medic and drop Master Ranger/Trapping to gain FS skills....
Now before you tar and feather me, once I open the 2nd character slot, I plan on dropping all FS skills except Ranged Accuracy to regain Master Ranger! The second character will be used to PvP with my guild and I'll have my Master Ranger back again.
After a while, I may take the second character to Jedi.... who knows, but right now, I'm working towards the second character slot, not Jedi.

Its a tough call. I dont care to be "teh uber jed1" but I would like to have a the skill Enrage or calmcreature just since that seems fitting to a Ranger. I will probably get to initiate or padawan and just hang tight from there. Will see how the grind is for me and then decide if I want to be a Jedi/Ranger for rp purposessince I cant think of any better choice for a solo lifestyle than the two put together.
I can get Master Lightsabre, Tracker, and a few more skills in jedi and I think I would love that template. Would be a fun way to play I think.
But lets face it.... that decision for me is a long time in the making. I am just FS and finished the quest to go up scouting line. Plan on doing all the quests anyway to get the interesting loot. Should be a fun way to play....
Heh, and I am sure that by the time JTL comes out and distracts everyone for a while and the major time it will take to get to jedi, by then SOE will pave the village over and have a new way to become jedi.... lol.

I'm in the same boat honestly. I played the game, had fun... (hologround 2 professions.. artisan and medic) but for the most part, I played the game to have fun.
I'm a master explorer, have most of the badges in the game and generally had a great time. However, with the jedi thing coming out, i may try out jedi for a bit and see if i like it.
My secondary character is probably going to go master ranger/ master rifleman... for no other reason than I have never been a rifleman and it sounds kinda fun.
