Wonder what would happen if they were forced to play a Ranger for a month or even a week (not just create a Master Ranger on the fly but actually play the darn profession up from Master Scout)? Hmmm.

They'd find it fun until they realized how many skill points they were putting into it and how much they actually got out of it. The actual profession is fun to play. But most of the stuff in it just doesn't work nearly as well as it needs to. The main problem comes when you look at the skill point cost to effectiveness ratio. And people playing the game to have fun won't be looking too carefully at that if they can still have fun (i.e. not sit around at a star port shouting to buy locked containers).
