Thread: Fastest way to finish camp tree?

Not sure if this still works or not, as I mastered Ranger a long while back.
Set up camp. get a droid or two out, and have them patrol (from the middle of camp to about 50 m out and back). While they do that, sit in camp and practice making camps (I can't remember how many camps I made to get master ranger, but it was a lot). After about 5-7 mins, disband and repeat.
If you dont have a droid or have problems getting them to patrol, get a few people to help you (I found that finding a couple other Scouts/Rangers and swapping grinding works well). have them get on a mount and ride in and out of the camp. If done right with two people, you can get up to about 60 people tallied in your camp after a few, will max your xp for sure.
Don't forget to have pets out
Like I said, I dunno if this still works, but it did for me a couple months back.

I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. I shoot with my mind. I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father. I kill with my heart.

Plus your vegicle can count as a person as well. But it'll take damage from being out all day so I'd suggest getting a crappy 'ol speeder instead of a swoop.

cool i'm already doing everything everyone is suggesting. someone made a comment earlier about being glad that it takes a long time...and now that i think about it, i am too. it should be a kind of "trial" to make any elite profession. ours is mastering the art of frontiering...but in doing so we make the community stronger. just last night i had my Field Base going and was sitting around making camps and a particularly powerful Jedi came in and visited the camp with a small entourage in tow. His crew were blown away by my camp. Had never seen one before. The jedi had seen them before but not very often. They all sat and talked with me and his crew healed up and they thanked me for my hospitality and went on there way.

So it was cool being able to provide that kind of environment for other people, especially a rare thing like a
Field Base Camp. If it takes a long time to get to Master Ranger doing that, I'm all for it.

Frontiering is always the last tree to finish in Ranger. There really isn't any quick way to grind it out. I'll reiterate what others have already mentioned. Pull outa droid, make traps and more camps while in a camp. Also, set up camp just outside of Coronet, especially when you get the Field Base Kit. A lot of curious passer-by's will drop in to check it out or others grinding out starter combat professions will drop in to heal. Group hunts work well too but with composite armor and buffs, chances are noone in the group will have much of a need nor the patience to sit in a camp.

In retrospect, it sort of balances out since you can fill the rest of the trees up relatively quickly by simply driving around Endor with Mask Scent on.

Rofl Ok Traping was my last. But then again i wanted the HTFB real bad.

Look Camping is Prob the best part. You set up a camp near a mjor city and People stop by. They talk to you. You get to tell them about your ranger skills then they say "WOW Im a(FILL BLANK PROF HERE)i neeed XX resourses ill add you to my friends. Thus you build a customer base,

People are always blown away by ranger camps (even yb high level scout camps) just wait till the HTFB

You can grind though camping in less than 10 days (I know because i did) and then the fun starts because everyone wants to go out with a ranger with a camp that gives a 100% heal modifier... (and looks cooler than any building that can be built...)

Might be a stupid idea, but some times ago I was fishing because there was finally a good spawn of fish meat so I could make me some petstim D's. I catch a fish fairly quick and i got about 50-155 xp per fish. Isn't this a fast way to do the camping tree? Especially if there's a good fish spawn cuz it could give you some additional money while you're grinding.
Just a thought

If you can catch fish fast, then yeah, the extra xp doesn't hurt and can make some cash on the side. I don't seem to get a lot of fish for the time I put into it though. And my Bothan looks mad as hell when he's fishing. I thought it was supposed to be a relaxing thing.

It helps that the Field Base and HTFB can be seen from long distances. I've had this happen as well, though not with Jedi. People who see it from the other side of the planet and wander by, wondering what it is. Remarking that it's neat-o since they haven't seen one before. I still get a kick out of that.

Be either rebel or imperial. Buy a cheap faction pet. Drag the pet to your toolbar. Set up a macro to call and store the pet several times a second. Set up your camp. Wait about 2 to 3 minutes and disband it. Repeat. Fastest possible way I can think of.

You will have to be overt to do this. Its a big shortcut, if you had the tents premade in a factory you could level the entire tree in a day.

I mention this because some people would like to do it I'm sure, but really in my opinion camping is a fun line to climb by doing it the old fashion way. Group up, go hunt stuff, set up camps. But, thats not for everyone, so good camping hope this helps.

Other than making yourself a HUGE static target that appears on the planetary map, why use a faction pet? Actually, now I think of it, this might only apply to HTFB, still have to check and confirm that.

Cheap MSE off the bazaar, or a mount, does the same thing for your visitor numbers.

Last couple of days I've been helping, for the odd hour here and there, our guild's medic level to doctor. At the same time I've been collecting wilderness xp to turn into FS later.

Stuck an HTFB up, called a mount that is trained for tricks. Had it pull T1 and T2 every few seconds. Medic banged a crate of stims into me. Surreal thing was, medic is also an ent, so was ID'ing while she healed. I crafted while I had my hair done. Dropped a fresh HTFB roughly once every 15 - 20 mins for full xp.

win-win situation all round. Everyone got XP, the guild will get its doc back, and I've got free heals/stat migrates, oh, and a mullet...

The reason for a faction pet is that you can have the icon in your toolbar and use a macro to call it several times a second. Rather than every 15-20 minutes for full xp, it is every2-3 minutes. Being overt isn't a big deal, just go someplace a little out of the way. But its just an option, in the end the way you did it helped out more than just you, and its all about having fun. I was just presenting a solo, pure speed grind option.
