They Acknowledged that Bio-Engineers and Commandos were "an issue that needed looking in to" in umm.. Beta 2? I'd love to believe that when Holo said, "Chin up chaps, the winds of change are blowing." that it meant people were fixing things, and fixing them soon.

It just doesn't.

Going back to my boards now. =p

Less posting, more fixing. Thx.

Then you get a million posts about 'lack of communication' so Iguess they can't win. Kinda like when lots of peoplesay there is 'no content'.Devs add content then everybody says 'hey why don't you fix the bugs before adding content'

There's a big difference between communication and an automated message. You have to take what they give you with a grain of salt.

Just look at the responses to the Correspondants. Most of the major issues for EACH profession are pre-release old, and most of the responses are, "Yes, we know."

Shouldn't THAT bother us more than anything? They're quite well aware that the code is Beta quality. It just happens that half a million of us are dumb enough (Myself included) to pay while they really figure out how the game's content should work.

So he says, "Yes we know, we're looking into it." but doesn't give any details... and they've been looking into it since March. I would feel somehow better if they popped up and said, "Oh **edit**, you mean nothing in the Commando profession works properly? We had no idea! We'll get right on that. And having taken a look at all the issues, here's what we're going to do..."

I'd like to see things fixed as much as the next guy, but the simple fact that we even got acknowledged is a start.

Caijal is a good example of someone that no matter what gets fixed and what is done will just never be happy. Some people expect that when a problem is found, if they report it, the devs can just snap their fingers and magically fix it.Come on...either quit whining, form some real constructive criticism if necessary and enjoy the game for what it is now....or just cancel your account, sell your copy and move on to the next game that you will do nothing but gripe about. I myself would rather play an imperfect beta then wait and wait and wait for a final version that people like you are going to complain about anyway. This game has sooooo much potential and even in it's current state is a lot of fun if you take it for what it's worth. The community has been pleading with the devs for acknowledgement and even after we get it I'm sure we'll want more. These things take time. Let's voice our concerns, report the bugs, and wait for the fixes. Flaming the Dev's is pointless and inconsiderate. I'm sorry for flaming you Caijal, but I just get fed up with all the needless whining and this is my long needed release. Feel free to fire back. I'm a big boy, I can take it...anyone else for that matter.

Great to see a post like that, but..........

I will not forget the most important thing SoE, this game was NOT ready to be released and you chose to release it anyway. You deserve all the whining thrown your way. I know it is not the Dev's fault, those decisions are made by those suit wearing fools. But you accept your paycheck from them so you have to take the abuse.

I hope these things get worked out soon.

Since when do developers have a say in when a game will be released?

Well, I'm kinda mixed with the response, probably like most folks. Holocron - I appreciate you taking the time to post. Deep down, I know the Devs are being controlled somewhat by the suits as to what they can and can'tchange.

But on the other hand, there are some simple just plain ol' bug issues that have existed since beta that should have been fixed and/or addressed long ago andshouldn't require any meddling by the suits. Not only in our ranger profession, but the others as well. For me, it is this lack of responsibility that really bugs me.

Sure, all the little extras would be nice and will probably come to fruition down the road. But do what Microsoft finally had to do - quit working on new content for a short while and just get all the current bugs and issues taken care of just to get us off your back!! Then you can start with a fresh slate knowing you have a 'mostly happy' customer base (you'll never make everyone happy that's for sure).

It's good to know you're here listening. I think the entire Ranger community would feel a great deal more confidence that things are getting done on the Dev side of things if we received a few more posts like this over time. We, probably less than most other professions from what I've seen, recognize that things are perpetually busy in dev-land, so we're not asking for full and complete progress reports every week, but the occasional drop in post like this to let us know the wheels are in motion go a long way.

And if you REALLY want a simple way to make the Ranger community ecstatic? Just drop us a short post officially stating that the devs really do see Ranger as a separate and distinct elite profession, and not just a really enthusiastic scout.

Many thanks for the update Holo (and on a Sunday Night no less). It does go a long way towards making us feel like we've NOT been left out in the cold.

One thing though, your posts don't show up in Dev Tracker, is there a flag you use to make them not show up, or is this something the Web Designers need to look into?
