Or you could turn up the Gamma correction in the game..that works too...but SHH don't tell toomany people that Dath doesn't have to be black!

Cool idea, but I prefer the Night Vision Goggles better... as long as they look cool.


While we're on the subject of light... Wouldn't you all like to see our campfires provide more light? They are awfull dim, if you ask me.

I think they should provide the same amount of light as our personal lights, only serverside.

Do our camps actually have a light source in them? I cant remember ever seeing myself illuminated from anything but the camp lighting.

Lol I'll complain, but I like keeping it down actually. I do feel like I'm cheating otherwise


However I do roleplay my starsider character as a clone raised in underground laboratories, so the gamma goes up for him =).

I like the natural version of this more because it can be implemeted with a (relatively easy ?) client-side tweak: just increase the radius/level of the ctrl-l effect for rangers/scouts. It can even be done gradually based on camping skill level.

I wonder if it would slow the rendering if it is done this way.
