Thread: The Horror.
i will admit to macro camping, i just wanted the high tech field base, but now that i see the ranger changes, i'm goign to master ranger
....i figure i work 8 hours a day.....usually gone from my house for 12 hours a day, so about 12000xp / day , it took me about a week and a half to max out my survival xp(camped while i slept and was at work, even though i only slept about 4 hours a day). i used the novice ranger campsites because they took the least amount of metal and my inventory was full of hides and bones. here's the macro i used:
fill a double hotbar with camps, ever single one except the first slot, then make this macro (or a variation of it, i stole it from someone on the board, sorry i cannot remember your name):
- /ui action toolbarSlot01;
through
- /ui action toolbarSlot23;
- /startmusic rock;
- /pause 5;
- /flourish 1;
- /pause 20;
- /flourish 3;
- /pause 300;
- /stopmusic;
- /pause 5;
- /ui action toolbarSlot00; (this one is the first slot on your toolbar, which is where you place the macro, and it resets itself to go all over again)
just make a long list of the same command, just the numbers go from 01-23 (sorry its late, i may be explaining this incorrectly). then put something in there to keep your character busy like playing music, or foraging, or simply sitting/standing. Oh, and case is important i believe, make sure everything is lowercase and the S is upper case just to be safe.
But basicly what happens is ever 3 or so minutes your character attempts to place every single camp in your hotbar, but you can only have one camp out at a time. So it spams "you already have a camp established elsewere" 20 or so times. After about an hour (50-55minutes), your camp autodisbands, and your character gets the xp and places the next camp and the process starts over again. So the maximum amount of time your character will go without a camp is however long you make the pause in the macro. And dont forget to turn Auto-AFK off while doing this, or you'll most likely get booted.
