Some of you might say geez, thats abit expensive, but look at the extreme risk one has to put them selves into to get the higher quaclity hides etc..

I think this is reasoable fair, maybe the numbers could be worked a little more, but something has to be done, not everything is worth 3 credits per hide.

So come on guys, lets start pushin around some numbers to see what we all think is fair and reasonable considering what we have to do to get these resources.

You are forgetting one thing: a lowbie mob is just as likely as a high-level mob to yield high OQ meat considering the resource shifts that occur. Your suggestion would make sense if the high OQ was ONLY available on harder mobs.

Every time I offer hides to an armourer he asks 2 things, OQ and SR. If the latter isn't >500 they tend to pass.

Hehe Delta

i understand what you where saying but i dont think you did understand what i was saying.

What i meant, is the fact that we can mupltiply harvest something is going to kill the resouces community completly. I dont think you should be able to do it. Why cant scouts take it in turns when they are more than one in a group?

I generally always group and ask before we set out who wants to harvest. If there are a fwe of us we take it in turns to harvest. Simple, we all get XP for it, we just take it in turns.

I hope they dont do this, becuase regardless of what we do inregards prices for Harvest resouces we are gone, if this comes in!!!

Harvesting large amounts of resources is hard? Since when? Without even a ton of effort I can harvest 1 or 2k in a couple of hours. Nothing from any starter world should ever cost more than 5/unit its just too easy to get, everybody and their brother in this game has Novice Scout and they can all go kill gubbers, gnorts, lopes, rats, etc. to their hearts content and get what they need. The people who kill the market are a)the people that overcharge and b)the folks who throw up little chunks of crap on the bazaar. Most meds, doctors,BE's,armorsmiths, etc. either get what they need themselves or have someone who does it for them reguarly. Why? Because the look on the bazaar and see 22 meatheads selling 12 units of Avian Meat for 200 credits with an OQ of 79 or some other out of whack price for some other mostly worthless resource. Most people who pay the high bazaar prices either do it becuase they don't know better yet or they're in a pinch, those that do don't even bother to look for the most part. If you want to make some cash selling your harvests contact one of the folks who need it and is along in their craft a bit, give them your prices and the amounts you can normally harvest every couple days. I wouldn't quote those prices you posted at the top though, as they (and I for that matter) would fall over laughing.

I price, and always will price as follows:

0-200 = 1:1

201-400 = 2:1

401-600 = 3:1- 4:1

601-800 = 4:1 - 6:1

801-1000 = 5:1 - 10:1

The higher numbers are for hides/bones that have the oq listed, and high secondary stats.

You can kill the gamer, but you can never kill the game.

Wow, alot of disagreement on prices here.. but its understandable.I advertised taking contracts a few weeks ago and now work with a few specific Artisans and one Doctor. This way I know what Im getting and so do they, yes things shift but you communicate this to them as well. Also do to the profit margin of Artisan (Greater then Ranger) these same Individuals supply my equipment....i.e. Guns/Armor...I play a 12hr shift and think of it like a job one night a week. hehe the other times I play is for fun. Although when Im working..the 12hr night I usually gain good exp as well. If they spent all night hunting hide/bone would never have time to craft.. So its also our time we are seling. Get a deal worked out it pays well!! Oh and the bazaar I put my scrap there and sell it mainly to lower level medics etc, for there stimpacks..just how I do it although I must say there are valid views in this thread..
