I remember when they changed it. They also stated that the Dev who originally coded agreed that it was too much to have maskscent break upon entering combat.
Obviously some new addition to the Dev team went through the design docs which apperently were never updated to reflect the change and decided to "fix" it.
Would be nice if you could point this out to the team and have them fix their "fix"

That's because burst run depletes your character's mana pool. Maskscent also uses mana when you apply it. You have to sit down, eat some kodo fruit and a melon crafted by a mage and wait till the pool replenishes.

As long as it still gets broken by every level1 hostile within 100 meters, everything will be okay.

hmmm, so, do we get all our majik spells now too? hey, how about some bow skills? Wait, why dont we call it SWEQII?
Oh, and those design docs dont have JtL in them I'm betting. Hope you liked your ships while they lasted

to be perfectly honest, a lot of Rangers want a bow-like weapon. and, they're actually a part of cannon . Yeah, the Ewoks pwn'd Stormtroopers with bows.
