Thread: An idea for Rangers Only A ghillie suit
It is a GHILLIE suit, taken from the old Scottish game wardens who developed it to sneak up on poachers. Don't blame me for the "silly name". Gila is a freaking lizard, I don't want no stupid lizard suit. If you would like the entire class on how to make one, join the military, volunteer to be a sniper, attend the Sniper school at Benning or the Scout/Sniper school the Marines run. Or use the Internet, whichever appeals to you.
I am sorry but I have to agree with Mylar (omg he says...and he does know me...just not in this name) No extra bennies for weapons of any type other than you get the first shot, or two, or three, depending on your weapons, or lack thereof.
As to the red dot v. white dot... whatever works for the devs works for me, so long as we are invisible to others.

I like that idea. Not sure how useful it will be with all our masking abilities. I don't like to have to depend upon other skills to make it though. Sure, rangers are supposed to be well rounded, but that's the point of going master ranger...not going novice ranger with a bunch of other novice skills. Self-sufficiency, period.

but this was in my very first week's ranger suggestion list...
So umm.. .yeah.. the suit would be cool...
as would combat bunkers... and sandbags.

they want to steal invisibilty (/conceal) from us too.
Cool idea. Ghillie suits are a pain to wear but make you basically invisible. Of course they don't affect infrared.
We need something in this class to make us a bit more distinct.

yeah, a "GILA" suit, not a "GHILLIE" suit would be kinda cool. Especially for sniper types. Not sure how it would work for all you TKA and other melee rangers.
I would imagine a gila suit to be kind of like the conceal command of old. I can imagine how it would work also. Imagine laying prone while wearing the suit, and it acting more or less like the mask scent ability worked. Whenever you fire or whatever, you run the risk of becoming visible on the radar screen. If your Gila stays intact, you will still show up as a white dot on the screen. Chances are in PvP senarios, people arent gonna be looking at their radar screens while you are sniping. They are gonna be too busy wondering what the hell just tagged them in the head for 1k pts of damage...
