I got ganked by Greater Desert Womp Rats, Banthas and Rontos last night... The only things that use to do that in those three animal groups was Bull Banthas/Bull Rontos and Matriarch Banthas... the regular ones you could pick off solo...

So this is a common problem.. Thank goodness I am in the dusty confines of Tat right now... Hate to imagine places like Endor...

Yes, Kaadus are messed up too now..... but Males would always defend the females before patch. But Males would not defend other males. Those quackers hit hard when they're all on you, no?

Please, please, please tell me this is a bug. The mamiens on yavin 4, whichare the current money creature on Radiant, are all doing the same thing. I've somewhat negated it by sending in my rock beetle, then bleeding them, but I still get incapped at least twice on every lair (not to mention therapid demise of all of my pet-stims). I'm a ranger/pistoleer/novice medic, and I don't have the skill points to become a CH so I can start taking a graul around with me on my hunts.

Snorbel on Lok used to be slower than run speed and thus could be kited enmass. With the new changes to fan shotI was looking forward to this as Lok Herb meat on Valcyn was my bread and butter...Post patch I get full herd agro and they run me down all the time now which is going to require a tactical rethink. It was an exploited part of the game...but one I have grown used to.....

On Tuesday, I was agroed on by a Male Mamien. I did not have Maskscent or Camo on. I was just standing there. The fella just glided over to me and then incapped me. After I recouped, he glided over and started attacking me, I had to run for it. I had to run from a male mamien that was gliding all over the place.

By the way, I use gliding because that is what he was doing. No movement at all. He looked like one of those table hockey sets with the little guys. No movement but he was hitting me hard.

Mamiens have always socialized only after hitting the lair. I am not sure what is up. If anyone has other info please share.

Thanks,

Here's some info:

The last patch ruined the game for just about everyone. Check out the the thousands of flame posts to SOE on the announcements forums. This does not bode well.

I used to be able to kill one kaadu with others standing right there but now they all attack....not sure about the mask scent . .. if that is involved or not.

The one positive thing I noticed (though I didn't check it tonight) was last night I could solo ... man the name of the creature defies me this morning... because normally they're social assist animals and now they're not.

Ah yes... Pikets. Then maskscent broke near a Graul and I dragged it towards a Piket so I could run off ... and five grauls spawned, attacking the piket, but none of the others assisted it. I stood there and watched (because it was interesting and I was bored)while the grauls attacked each particular one and cleared the lair. I'm not sure if I was exploiting (and usually when it's questionable that means I am ), but I helped the graulers along with some melee traps.

But ... rills were aggroing me last night. And gubburs. It was really odd.

Rock Beetles on Tatooine have never been social and they still aren't. So there goes the theory that all mobs are assistive or the theory that creatures that weren't assistive in the past are now (and vice versa).

Also, I don't know if anyone else has observed this, but if you shoot at a creature with (scout) next to it's name it will go back to its buddies and they will all start attacking you. Even if it is a type of creature that normally doesn't BAF.

I noticed the female pikets were not socializing last night also, however, the normal piket would act like a Bull Ronto or Bull Bantha and help the other out.

On the leading one animal against the other, different views on that. My first time on Dantooine, I went exploring. I found a piket lair in the midst ofa few Huurtons (sp?) and Voritor Lizards. I just sat there and watched as the agros attacked the pikets. i helped pick off the agros, and tried to get some mats for the camo kits. Then I realized that the pikets had both the meat and hide I needed for the kits. I didn't help the agros, but I did get to observe some natural animal behavior that has helped the other times I went to Dant.

I don't think that leading one animal to another animal is all that bad. If you know they are enemies, it appears to be a good strategy for when taking on harder opponents, as you know a weakness. Now leading an animal into a man made trap, like a city and causing them to get stuck in the walls, is not very sporting.

Good luck out there, and don't die too much,

Well mamiens, bolles, and others are now assistive, and they weren't before.

Yep Mamiens were only assistive, like most animals, when the lair was hit, as of Thursday they are assistive. Thanks for reminding me of that.
