Sounds good.
Certainly beats saying "Here baby... come to me... Com'ere piket, don't go social... No, bad. Crap, /burst"

Fantastic idea, would make us rangers useful in a lot of different ways. This gets my bump.

This is a fantastic idea and has been seen in the movies, not to call game in for a hunt, but didn't Obi-Wan use a Krayt Dragon Call to scare the Tuskens away from Luke in Episode: IV?

Wonderful idea. I've been pushing for a bait or lure trap for a while, but this works too. Something to pull aggro creatures from the herd to a safe distance would be wonderful to our profession.
I'd like to offer a few tweaks. There could be a few different calls that we could make, one would be a summon call, one would be an "alarm" call, and one would be a distract call. The summon call would attempt to call one away from the pack. The alarm call would get the lair's attention and either put them on higher alert, or scare them, forcing them all to run away (kind of like the krayt dragon call obi wan did to scare the tuscans off). and the distract call would confuse the creatures drawing their attention elsewhere so they won't aggro something that is sneaking into their lair, or through their normal range of sight. Or something like that.

This could surely replace 'Rescue' as a skill. Or 'Push here to die' as it should rightly be called. What the **** were they thinking? Anyway, I think we have found a winner, nice job. l like the multiple call idea too. We could have something like rescue as a call, so long as it doesnt involve us rubbing bloody steaks on ourselves and throwing ourselves into the creatures mouth like rescue does.

not to poop the party of inventiveness, but this idea is anything but new. It is pretty much exactly what the 'lure trap' idea in the State of the Profession thread is for. So don't worry, it's not only thought of, it's been madea high priority wish already before you posted

That is a great idea. Hope it's something we can look forward to.

"This sound like the lure trap to me, unless I misread something."
Yes it does sound like that idea too. ![]()

I love the idea. Just watch out for the12yo's (or the bored)calling the squills into town to attack the newbies.
