I am a Master Ranger, plan to stay that way come Hell or high water. I've only been a Ranger for a month or so, but I got into this class by choice. No holo-grind here. I did so, knowing the problems with the class and howlaughable we are toall the rest. The other professions know and comment often aboutthe uselessnessof Ranger. We are worthless in PvP, we are barely adequate in PvE, and scouts are just as good at harvesting organics as us (some say better).
I am not at all pleased with the profession, but it is one of the grand total of 3 professions that appeal to me out of all available. I have read the Outdoorsman, I like most of what I saw. There have been dozens upon dozensof excellent suggestions made in that proposal and this forum - but the question: How many have been put into the game? To my knowledge ...none.
We see a little bit of progress on every profession per patch, save our own. Why? I think rehashing discussion over ideas that have been given and supported by tons of us is nothing more than time wasting "look over there! its a monkey!" tactics to keep us from getting as p*ssed off as the rest of the professions are. There is absolutely no reason AT ALL why we shouldn't be seeing some kind of progress with every patch. We don't have to have an entire revamp of the profession all at once.
I've said it before - Rangers are the most intelligent, mature, and organized bunch of people in SWG. The people in this profession have shown infinite patience by way of comparison to the others. What is it getting us? Seriously ....what have we gained by being "thequiet children" of SWG?
In the end, none of us are going to be completely happy with the profession - because not all of us agree with the proposals, we don't all have the same vision of Ranger, and the DEVs are going to go with whatever their 'vision' is regardless. I just want to see some action - SOMETHING - to show we're not being overlooked because they feel we're the least threat to mutiny orjump the SOE ship. In the end, I believe this to be the case.
This is not a "call to arms" or a "boycott this or that" message. It is simply a venting of frustration that I feel must be done here, because I've paid my fifteen bucks a month and I have the right.
DEVs ...The Rangers havebeen model gamers.Every improvement to the game I've seen in the last three patches has come as a result of griping, complaining, whining, and threats. Please do something as quickly as you can to show uswe'renot being overlooked and reward comes from being above all that.

Another problem that comes with no feedback is that we DO start getting cranky. When we had hope, we were able to keep ourselves content by debating what we thought would be added and what we would like to see added. Many great ideas have come to the table, only to be ignored. How can we keep from letting it get to us? We just keep waiting, I guess. I have even pointed out to TH how the Ranger forum seems to be losing some of it's positive and upbeat tones. The end result is nothing; still ne response. I will keep trying guys, and lets keep our heads up (sorry....). This post turned into a babble, sorry.
