Thread: Camo Kit pricing

You need to figure in the time it takes you to get these resources. We can just go out there and get 100k in no time like we used to. Also you need to figure weapon and armor decay into it.

Since crafters are already asking for them, we should come up with a rough price of what they SHOULD go for. The crafters have no idea, the rangers have no idea... But all the ones i've seen for sale on the bazaar were between 200-500. We need to set a rough price of what they should sell for. Sure some people will undercut that price, but not by a lot - they want a profit.

Please limit the bashing on this thread. If you agree or not to selling camo (I personally won't do it), a ballpark price still needs to be set or else they'll go for 100 credits apiece. That would just be adding insult to injury...

I suggest 5k per kit, 10k for Dath/Kash per camo kit.

Simple method:

((Maximum theoretical price per unit for the resource) X number of resource units used per kit)X 1.5

Biggest thing in setting the price is "how much will they actually pay for it". So long as you know your 'baseline' price from the above formula you won't be fleecing yourself.

Not going to get into the whole 'its a good thing/bad thing debate'. Heck knows theres enogugh threads onthat already, BUT I do have serious misgivings that arties are going to find these kits break FAST and, "once a creature is following you you are in combat" from the current patch notes means "once it breaks on aggro, you (non-combat toon) are dead".

So, if you ARE going to sell these, make a crate, or put a selection of them in a ricksack and barter it for one of the new speeders. Then at least you've got somethig useful off the arties before they freak out at being cursed by Ranger Voodoo

Icalculated at least 60k for a crate of 25 high charge kits. But to make it bazaar friendly I think 5 kits for 20k. 10 would be far too cheap at that price.

50k per use. More for the really cool planets.

Artisans can afford it, or be eaten by wild durnis.

Most of you have been way to low. I am a fairly established Ranger of Wanderhome, with my own shops etc.

Here is how I price Camo. ( on a per use price) (numberOfUses * CreditsPerUse)

  • Corellia, Tatooine, Naboo, Talus, Rori - 3000 Credits per use 12 use kit = 36,000 Credits

  • Dantooine, Endor, Yavin IV, Lok - 4000 Credits per use 12 use kit = 48,000 Credits

  • Dathomir - 4500 Credits per use 12 use kit = 54,000 Credits

  • Kashyyyk - 5000 Credits per use 12 use kit = 60,000 Credits

This is my current chart. I think this is not something we should lower too much. I will probably also get a BE and a Tailor to make some Mask Scent and Camo Bonus Clothing for my vendors.

What do you think? I really don't think that we should sell it low, if you want to give it away to friends ok, but selling it too cheap seems unforgivable. Depending on how much camo breaks you can lower or up the price.

My vendor is up and running, gonna start with low prices,if they sell then I will wack the prices up quickly.

I have Tat, Dath and Lok kits on my vendor, all fifteen uses. Individial kits are 4k, the crates of five at 20k and a few crates of twenty five at 100k.

I think as long as the cartel keeps prices high, people will pay it. I will mainly be providing my guild with the packs, but I will also try out bazaar selling. With so many useless materials, I had to finally start selling raw resourceson the bazaar, made a pretty penny off it too. With this around, I will most certainly not waste a source of income if I ever run low or need to clean out my resources in my guild hall, but my main monkey maker will remain piracy.

This man has the right idea rangers. Follow his example and we will turn this into a positive thing. Here is how I charge:

-Non-master kits-25k per kit

-Master (dath,kashyyyk)-50k per kit

That's the easiest one to remember, for us and for the buyers. If we set the price, they will pay it.

I think SolassD has the right idea. And remember, with Pub 17, ALL newbs will be starting on Tatt. I will be using DalassD's formula to start and adjust as needed. Time for the Prima-Dona Artisans to start having to pay for a change!!!

I have had no buyers yet even at my incredibly low prices, and I have 14/15 use kits for Dant, Lok, Dath and Tat available singly and in crates and I have been advertising on my servers trade board here http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=chimaera_trade&message.id=437004
along with info about how they work and how to use them. Has anyone else actually sold a camo kit since publish 17 went live?????

And what if the artisans began to treat Rangers this way and then use combat stacked scouts for resources. What then?
