Yah, that was borked

I'm running trials currently to see which camps give most/fastest.

Also, which methods give greater bonuses

As promised, here is what I found with the high quality camp. I disbanded at 47 minutes and I didn't have full xp, I got 1014 xp. So, I don't think any of the ranger camps got any faster. Bummer, as I was really hoping getting Frontiering IV wasn't going to be as much of a bitch.

Numbers here for you:

- High Quality Camp Kit

- Two people in a group including myself(ie me grouped with one other person)

- Camp up for approximately 10 minutes

- No wounds on either of us

- Only action performed was my foraging until I got the "No more items in the area" message

Total exp after 10 minutes of up time is approximately 1k.

I was pulling in about 450 to 600k exp under the same conditions prior to the patch. However, my experience solo seems to be roughly the same, perhaps slightly increased. So I think the single person xp multiplier has been slightly increased, and a decent increase on the group xp multiplier(ie you should max out faster in groups).

Also, wound healing seems to speed up the xp gain rate as well, but just sitting there solo doing nothing seems to gain you almost no new benefit while having others there and/or healing up wounds does in fact increase the pace. That would make sense if it does work that way since it would still discourage the macroers but provide more benefit for those who actively camp.

Bleh I'd get a group to join my in my camps now, but none of the chat channels are working either lol, oh well...back to grinding it solo. I actually stopped playing for a few days prior figureing why spend hours camping now when I can spend less time after this patch !

if anyone who can make these is thinking of switching to artisan i suggest you hurry before it's changed. you can get some great novice experience in mere minutes.

Yeah I raced up the engineering tree and became a weaponsmith in a matter of days by practicing making field bases. Most of the traps give pretty good xp as well.

hmmm maybe thats just for base. I tried the improved camp kit and it was giving me full xp in about 15 minutes, solo. with a group of 6 I was getting full xp on my field base in about 6 minutes per camp.

Field Base - while sampling, 1200 exp in 20 mins. Seems like an improvement to me.

Someone should verify this first.

I put down a Field Base Kit and was the only one in it. Got only 378 xp after 10 minutes. Was your camp full or something? I am not seeing this.

Yeah same here I'm stil getting the same **edit** exp, but at least I can put it down in newbie areas to get visitors.

I did not confirm it, I was the only one in the camp I did a 6 minute camp prior and got 600xp. I was on my lunch break from work, so someone may have ran through while i was making a sandwich

To the person saying master ranger in an hour, I know thats an exaggeration, but 200k camping xp at 1k per 8 minutes = about 27 hours, still a commitment on novice to master.

One note, i did have about 1400 total in wounds due to a lack of cloning when i logged on today, that my play in to it...
