Thread: NRaas: How will the new combat mitigation on TC affect us?
"I believe what he meant was the 2.5x damage modifier is being removed."
dashida is completely correct. ![]()
- My apologies for being not being entirely clear in that last reply.
What about traps? is throwing traps going to count in this new system? As a rifleman I don't mind taking a few hits on my action bar, but I want to make sure I still havesome for my:
"Uh oh conceal failed...
/burstrun; /powernap 130" macro.
Seriously though this will only be drawing out of specials used in the Marksman based profs right? Personally I'm looking forward to it, maybe I won't have to be such a muon fiend anymore.

"What about traps? is throwing traps going to count in this new system?"
Which system are you refering too?
- Obviously traps will not be affected by combat mitigation, as traps can not be used against other players.
However traps do fall under the new HAM cost system, which is a rather pleasant surprise. ![]()
That's exactly what I was curious about... I'm afraid since I'm away from my PC this weekend I haven't gotten onto TC yet so I'm still a little confused at how this is working. Thanks for the insight NRaas

"does that mean they removed the +10 ranged and +10 melee defense modifiers?"
I don't think so, why would they?
Combat Mitigation is a reduction of the overall damage received from a certain type of weapon (either melee or ranged).
- I believe the defense modifiers affect the chance of a player being hit by that type of weapon.
As I have not been on TC yet, has someone actually noticed the absence of these modifiers?
- Or are we all just speculating here?
I dont mean to be pessimistic. Sorry
"For some reason I thought they were replacing the current system."
The system they are replacing is the Rifleman damage modifier system. ![]()
