Yep, we just need to get a clown profession and an acrobat profession and a carney.. .well the carney can be the basic profession, and the others will spawn of that one.. just have a whole traveling circus.

The reply in the original post was mine. I think I made a post somewhere on the Ranger forums before I started dropping the skills that was similar to the reply I posted.

Its pretty much like this: I love Ranger, always have and always will. I plan on returning and mastering it again, once its fixed. I waited along time for the traps and camps and stuff that the devs said we would have.

I dropped it because 1) I didn't use the traps(they suck). 2) I only used camo kits on a few planets. The one I would have used the most (Lok) couldn't be made.(I dropped right before that patch, did they at least fix that?) I used the camo mainly against NPC's. 3) Tracking seemed to be less effective every patch. I have used track and it said nothing was around for 500m, I start walking away and within 50-100m a lair would spawn.

With all that said, I figured mastering marksman and keeping master scout would actually make me a better hunter. So that is what I did. It's a little tougher to find the creatures(just annoying, not really any trouble), but I can kill them alot easier. I am a better hunter with Master Scout, Master Marksman and Master Rifleman than I was with Master Ranger and Master Marksman.

This isn't meant to flame anybody or anything like that, just wanted to make sure my post was clear. This may only apply to riflemen, I don't know how much Master Marksman helps pistoleers or carbineers and I have no clue about melee. I still browse the Ranger forums looking for something that will make me come back, just haven't seen it yet.

Oops, that was supposed to read: I am a better hunter with Master Scout, Master Marksman and Master Rifleman than I was with Master Ranger and Master Rifleman.

Nearly all of the masteries that I have accomplished so far do not work the way they are supposed to nor do they come close the the perception of how they work by those who have never made the mastery themselves. Reality and expectation do not match and this leads to disappointment for many.

Ranger is nothing like I thought it would be. Eagle scout is all it seems to be just more of the same but bigger. Commando is NOT the moster killer class it appears to be. It is a one trick pony. Master Marksman is ok if you are only killing paralopes and newbies.Image Designer? Can you say playing dress up?The only skill that is even close to what I would have expected and quite a lot of fun is Master Tera Kasi.

Every skill tree has the same problems just in different flavors. Undefined skill trees. Hard earned masteries that disappoint. Looks good on paper but just doesn't work in reality. Common thread through all the forums. The fact that they are giving things to scout that you would expect for Ranger indicates to me two things: 1) The devs are starting to listen and realize that the post patch(s) SWG world has changed and the skill trees need to change and 2) Ranger is due for some really big changes to make it more relevant to the GCW.

This would be the natural evolution IMHO of this class.
