Naritus Chefs seem to think the only thing they are allowed to craft is Brandy, Ahrisa, Steak, Canape, Vercuptii, Havla, and Bivoli.
Im just using 2 brandys, and a veghash. if I can find some Jawa beer, ill probably trade out the brandies for double ahrisas

Whythey make steak i can't understand!!!!
25% dmg reduction, 5 filling bio enhanced exo-wafers has to better??!
U can re-apply regularly and have lots of stomach room for Veghash,ahrisa,scrimpi,etc 
Am i offbeat here??

Is it possible to play ranger in this style with a melee prof? Or is it just suicide to go in that close and risk drawing multiple agro?

absolutely possible and fairly easy. I used to have master swordsmen and as long as you have a nice set of ubese(around 74-77), you are golden. I used to wear just a jacket , boots , gloves, and on occasion a helmet. As a swordsmen, i could deal with being aggroed by most creatures, except the ones on dath. Know your traps, know what you are fighting and use specials sparingly. Also follow some of the suggestions for food.

Conceal. Wich didn't work like it should on the second one, had to do some running and trap throwing then (wich worked - just a lucky day).

I did that on sonday. Our guild's doc asked me if I could get him some of the herbivore meat from lok. I did some stat migration the day before, more focus on HA than before (found some template on this forum, can't recall it right now). I had no armor, no buffs, just some brandy and my trusted T21 called "Big Bertha". Oh, and my harvesting droid.
I was amazed. Didn't have that much fun for a long time. I had no problems of any kind - my stats must have been very bad before. I didn't even have to heal myself, I just sat down for a moment and had a little chat with my guildmates. I even had the luck to get some gurk king hide - and i killed 3 kimos (the small ones) with my showergun (SG82) and got some kimo segments. I never even tried to get one of them alone, but that day I thought "A good day to clone" and started shooting.
I have hunted a lot, mostly in a guild group for our crafters, but I never had so much fun like that day. I'm going on a hunting tour now, from planet to planet, just to try how hunting will work now.
I just love Ranger
