My experience with harvesting lower level creatures is to pick a POI you haven't seen in a while. If there is a playercity near it, take a mission or 2 in teh POI's direction and just wander around the POI keeping within a 1.5km circle. Start clearing out the spawns you don't want . It is not going the be the fastest you ever harvested anything , but it is effective.
