Thread: Dumb Ranger Post of the Night....kinda Newbie-ish
Well Dob, that's just too much work. The devs are working on selling this game, not making sense.
Rangers can just keep on doing what we do, take initiative in your profession: ignore the idiocy that is Holocrons, Force Slots, and Master Profession Masterers. We Rangers may not have a lot, but we are both positive about our attempts to enjoy our jobs as well as willing to regard other Rangers with respect because they love their profession and want to progress to be all they can be, not what some cube told them to be.
/emote applies (Integrity) +15 skill modifier to Scout Jacket, /areatrack durni, /walk away (content).
You have touched on one of my greatest disappoinments in SWG.
Of all the design errors, real or imagined, made by the Devs this is without a doubt the worst. Back in Beta the talk was to create a MMOPGthat deliveredimmersion. What we have ended up with is the same old grindas every othermediocreMMOPG. I totally agree with your statement: "I'd rather have a bunch of players role playing a Jedi as compared to a bunch of power gamers who just did it to be the most powerfull profession and just want to own everyone." Grind, grind, grind...what a dismal way to become a Jedi.

To add on to what NRaas said....the current theory going through the Jedi forums is thatthere are 5 professions you need to master. The holo's will only tell you 4, then you have to find your 5th hidden profession on your own. I think its rediculous. I'm 99.99999% positive that you cannot unlock your slot by just mastering professions, yet that is what a good portion of the Jedi forum believes. I even posted it on the forums. I'm justwaiting to see what everyone in that forum thinks about it.
There are actually people willing to master every profession thinking it will unlocktheir slot. Then they said they will be so P/o'd if they don't unlock their slot after doing that. Is it just me or wouldn't you thinkit would take more then just mastering professions? Any power gamer could be a Jedi in that situation. I'd rather have a bunch of players role playing a Jedi as compared to a bunch of power gamers who just did it to be the most powerfull profession and just want to own everyone.
Thats just my two credits. ![]()
