XP for harvesting, like we get for hide/meat/bones. Is that Scouting XP? I can't seem to remember...

"we really need to start a list and get it stickied on what can be milked"

www.swgcreatures.com provides a milk type... My suggestion would be that everyone update that site.

You do not gain experience from milking. Which experience were you expecting to receive?

I've gained plenty of RL XP in all my milking endeavors!

And I would think we'd put that under 'scouting' XP or 'wilderness' XP depending on your point-of-view.

Milk on Tatooine is on desert eopies, rontos and my main milking mob is the bantha, dune bantha and the best is bantha matriach(50-77per). The best place so far for me on tat is up near krayt canyon. Basically, milk, kill and skin em because you can only milk mob once so have to clean out the ones already done for new ones to spawn out. My average is around 1k milk a hour but it will increase as you can find lairs and just keep going on them for hours. Have fun.

To get domesticated milk, milk from a domesticated animal. For example, go to Naboo and find a Gungan camp and milk their kaadu. Or some of the camps on Tatooine with domesticated banthas also give domesticated milk. I got plenty of both kind last night, made taming tissues and now I can sell taming clothing again!

Hmmm, are Creature Harvesting skill checks/mods applying to Milk Harvesting? I have a couple of holo-Scout guild members who I've been training (they are not Master Scout yet), and they are reporting Milk yields nearly the same as mine.

I have Tracking 4 and was using Veghash (+15), and I can't out-Milk a non-Master Scout by a noticable amount???

Doesn't necessarily have to be female herbivores. I milked every murra, paralope and humbaba I came across yesterday. They all gave wild milk.

unless it says "male" you can milk it.

I am starthing to think that we should have a secondary title of farmer...... I already know one crazy wookie master ranger that farms onions all day on endor. now he has added milking to his daily routine......

Pretty sure they said that there would be no skill check for milking.

So a master ranger and someone without any scout skills, but that is concealed both get the same average amount.

It's not so bad that anyone who is /conceal can Milk (well, maybe it is), but can't we at least have a Creature Harvesting check to improve yields?

And why not group Milk Harvesting, like we have group Bone/Hide/MeatHarvesting? In groups last night, once someone milked the creature, that was it. No more milk for the rest of us. (Mind you, I'm not advocating the group Milk Harvesting right now, I just want to know the reasoning. I might agree with it.)

"Pretty sure they said that there would be no skill check for milking."

Aye. That is what I understood as well.

Though, from what I am hearing in one of the other threads, I might have to retest that on Live.

Saw today that Kaadu females give Wild Milk. Even though they're avian creatures.
