Currently I will hunt for one non-guild doc. and one non-guild be. Within the guild I hunted for a couple of docs and our master be. I give priority to orders from guildies but my non-guild customers help to ensure that I am not without a job. I do not hunt anything unless I have a buyer lined up, just my way. I do agree quantity and price up front, and offer discounted pricesfor guildies.
This is the key I think, agreeing up front what quantity you will get and by when. Don't make rash promises. As a Ranger your word is your bond, let your yes mean yes and your no mean no.
Tallking of making rash promises I recently accepted an order for 20k Talusian insect meat @ 20cpu, without first doing my homework. What a nightmare, I was getting 15 units per mite with veghash. I asked the buyer if I could stop at 10k but felt bad so we agreed 30cpu for the balance, which was very kind of the buyer.

Hey Aaenedor,
There are bigger insect meat critters in Talus than Mites....
(They sort of look like Kliknik's on Yavin)

Yes, I tried them for a while but got more units per hour at a static spawn spot next to Dearic. Most of the time I didn't even need to move to harvest. Can you say BORING ?
