Do you guys think that Ithor is going to be a new planet for the JTL expansion? They talk alot about the details of that planet just to describe a new race. Would be nice.

Calc,

Thats right its shoes and boots you cant wear. A couple of the other species still have major headware limitations. If you look at the screenshots you can see that they wont be wearing shoes either.

I would not think the Ithorians run around killing critters.

Yep, I actually read the full SOE online description for them. Says they are basically like druids, lovers of nature, for every vegtable they pull out of the ground they replant 2 of them. They respect nature and everything in it. It also says they are usually crafters, artisans, merchants and traveling merchants. Where hole herds of them will travel about trading and selling around the galaxy. Sounds to me more like crafter species, with probably bonuses for Artisan, and Merchant.

But it does say that several have joined the rebellion. So how do you get passed the pacifist side? A lot of people will play it as a combatant class not knowing their true histories.

Well, if they even atempted a bit of continuity, they really couldn't add Ithor. Very few 'people' are allowed to access the planet itself, most visitors must stay in the floating cities, of have a guide if the venture out by airspeeder. Only the Ithorian preists(?) are allowed to even set foot on the ground....ifI remember correctly.

Ahhhhh. I did not know that. I need to read up more on the SWG culture/history

What sums up the Ithorians for me, was a short story I read in "Star Wars: Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina" called "The Sand Tender: The Hammerhead's Tale". If you haven't read it, I strongly recommend it.

While not a creature killer, I could see the Ithorian culling when nature was thrown out of wack by outside forces (read: every player killing creatures randomly).

I won't re-roll my char, but, if Eheast ever goes the Jedi route, the next Flurrian I create would probably be an Ithorian.

Yeah, leezards are unable to wear shoes and gloves, I suspect Ithorian will be the same, with species specific headwear (or none at all).

I didn't think they were adding new vistable planets, just new space sectors. If that is the case, Ithor would work since we would not be allowed to land there.

Its going to be hard to get used to seeing people taller than me. Hmmm. I wonder how rare female Ithorian Rangers will be?

My first thought to that was something I cant say in a family friendly environment such as ours. Butit had to do with the size of their heads and the sharing of it with others. BUt im going to guess you'll see abotu as many of them as you do Rhodian or Bothan females
