I'm usually in bone armor. It's an okay look for me; I absolutely refuse to wear padded. Maybe if I was dancing in a cantina or alone in my camp.

Just got the Clone Armor today and am wearing that now until I can find something better.

Well, my main is no long MR/Mranger, so maybe I shouldn't be posting in this thread.. But since I still have the same armor certs:

Storm Trooper armor for general use.. Scout Trooper armor for faction farming and PvP.

On my ranger toons on other servers though, I'm still wearing pre-Cu Ubese (recon) that converted with decent kinetic resists. I'm too poor on those servers to buy new battle armor though, otherwise I'd probably go with Marauder armor.

I'll either hunt wearing ubese armor (mainly because I like the look, except for the helmet) or just with clothes with camo mods.

Since there are now no armor encumberances, I wear armor all the time now when in combat. I have a set of camo coloured marauder battle armour. I basically went tomy AS wearing my old ranger camos/duster and said "I want it in thes colours please"

Clothing is a major help in any case. Since Rifleman get Recon (basically lite armor) and Ranger gets Battle armor (basically the middle of the road armor), The question in hunting is what is best going to midigate damage. Recon is best for defense against ranged attacks, and Battle has better defenses usually against melee attacks although Assault armor is best for this. So, since the vast majority of creatures in SWG are melee types as their primary damage dealers you want the best mitigation against this. Either you use all clothing and traps or possibly pets if you have them to prevent melee encounters as much as possible and when they do occur you try to limit what they can do against you. The other is to wear a shirt under your armor (since for some silly reason you can't wear any clothes under your armor except a shirt) and get the best mitigation against melee attacks and use traps, specials and if you have them pets to help slow and debuff the critter so it can't do much damage against you when up close and personal.

Now this does not apply the same when encountering npcs and especially players. There is definitely more variety of types of attacks that npcs prefer and certainly even more with players. So you might wear it completely differently in these situations, but it seems your question is directed towards hunting creatures not the other two possibilities.

Reb battle armor, looks like a desert wanderer/nomads i dont wear the whole set, just whatt i can get on under a nice camo duster,

Since my alt is a master Armorsmith pretty much what ever I want.

Quad layered primus armor all the way.

Rebel battle has a higher condition than all other battle armors so it should not degrade any faster than any other battle armor.

Any Rangers on Ahazi needing armor let me know. I will square you away.

In game we will work out the details.
