If we want a good guide, it needs to be well written and researched properly. It should be organized, with various people assigned different sections of the guide.
That might be the way to go. List some topics we would like to see in the guide. Have people volunteer to write a topic. Give a date when the topic should be presented to the community for ratification. After a couple days of comments, assemble guide and give to TH.

Forget Volunteering!
I already claimed my piece of the pie!!!
(I've done a lot of crafting professions, and know people who will be able to help me compile a guide to creature resources.)

A recent post has brought to light that we don't really have a good description of resource spawning/shifting anywhere. Perhaps that would make a good addition to the guide?

yep - I was thinking the same thing. Also, there used to be a really old, but good guide to how lairs work (ie., when to hit them, what to expect when you tap them, etc...). Was thinking that this would be a very useful addition as well.

it's in the game guide (which quickly became useless otherwise).
Thanks. I'll try and find it on the internet, and if not I'll start travelling

Personally - I'd write back to the devs and tell them we'll have a Ranger guide ready for the Friday Feature once they fix the Ranger profession.
Either that, or write a guide that explains how 3/4ths of our profession is currently broken or useless...but I doubt they would post that for a Friday Feature...

That listing is incomplete. There is one in Mos Entha on Tatooine, as well as possibly other places.

I'm going to write a chapter on the creation of items from a how-to perspective of using the Generic Crafting Tool, the Weapon, Droid and General Crafting Tool, the Public Weapon, Droid and General Crafting Station, and the Equipment Factory. I'm not a smith, so I don't have the really specific knowledge, but I can write up a Idiot's Guide for Crafting and Factory Crafting.
I'll post it here when done. I need to wait till I get home, as I can't remember the correct spelling about some of the commands.
