"It could be 95% against humanoids and 98% against creatures"
Actually I think the 98% is almost spot on for the best success against creatures. 
Ithink those numbers could be achieved by:
- Walking / Crawling rather thanRunning (as I did)
- My companion's camoflauge was much more failure prone (which I believe was intended)
