Thread: Global Ranger Market Price Guide Suggestions
I must agree, not sure who you can have an across the board price scheme.
I think those prices could work on bloodfin, but that is only becuase bloodinf is extremely populated.
It might not work on another server. My suggestions is that you speak to people on you server and see what they think is fair.
Generally people will pay what they think is fair for both parties.
I pricethings at 3cr from starting planets (Tat, Naboo, Corellia), 4-5cr per from Talus/Rori, 6-7cr for Dantooine/Yavin IV, 8-10cr for Endor/Lok, and 11-15cr from Dathomir. Of course, all fish is priced at 30cr per unit (and it sells). I do vary prices too. If the resource is particularly good (main stat 900+), I bump it to the next price level. If it is obsolete and good, it gets bumped two levels.
These prices work for me on Lowca, and generally seem to be in line withrest of the prices I've seen.
I am not a fan of the price fixing scheme. but I would like some suggestions on price formula as PE and OQ raise..
Basing prices by planet doesnt work since Quality is really the determinant for many of my buyers.
and unfortunatly (or not) the credit bug and the cornering of the world market by Weaponsmiths and architects makes money not all that important.. I mean many crafters are in the 10's of millions in credits..
so it really has to do with what someone is willing to pay.
I am starting to get really profitable Contracts for certain resource harvesting. I think this is where the real money is right now.. Organized, agreed upon pricing for certain resources.
This has alot to do with what contacts your making.. as rangers we should be trying to get to know the BIG master crafters on our servers and then keep in contact with them as to what they are needing.. usually they will even know what animals are dropping the best stuff and where. Its a symbiotic relationship that helps both professions.

So my best pricing advice is to NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK.
(sorry if its double posted.. Stupid editless board)
