It may become crucial to get a storage droid to store stuff so they dont decay. this has yet to be tested though.

Can store your crafting kits, spare camp kits, spare weapons, harvests etc.

The armor hole bug was supposed to be fixed with this patch. Packs, belts and such are no longer hitable areas.

Do droids keep data and objects in them even when you store them now?

My R2 unit has two storage modules, I think, to hold a total of 10 items and, yes, the objects do stay in the droid when you store it. My droid doesn't have a data module so I don't know if the schematics stay, but I would assume they do if the storage modules are working correctly.

Yesterday I saw a droid engineer pedaling med droids in coronet, so I asked him if he had any droids with weapon/ droid/ general item crafting stations and storage. He custom made me an R2 with these two. I must say, it's nice being able to hunt for the necessary camo kit resources and then crafting them in the field while getting a good 5 extra uses out of them from experimentation.

I have several droids but only one that I use. My probot has a crafting station (never use it so I don't remember which), a storage mod, a data mod, light armor and helps me out in combat.
