Thread: Rangers and more missions

I really think having a mobile mission term attached to our best camp (High Tech Field Base) would be the better way to go. Thats just my 2 credits.
In a perfect world, the banners on our tents would signify our chosen faction and we'd have faction terminal ability too ....but heh ...now I'm just dreaming.

If you are overt in a HTFB (and FB?) you can requisition faction items (at an increased cost) from the camp terminal.

I like it! Now, lets give a clear and concise reason why we should have it, and how we would implememnt it!!!.
I like it too.
What I dont get is he gave the what (more missions) and the how (add it ias an ability in tone of the skill trees).
How we would implement it?
I dont code the game.
Just a quick gripe here, but how are we supposed to tell the devs how to "implement" it?
But if we don't tell them, then it seems we get brushed off, it is almost like plausible deniability for the devs.
This would also go some ways toward making the untravelled areas actually playable.
Right now, all the traffic is around the cities. You get out into the middle of nowhere and there are no creatures at all, because nothing is being spawned, because no one is hanging around.
Give Rangers a way to stay out in the wilderness for long stretches of time, and that problem would be lessened. I'd come into town only to sell resources or heal my BF at the cantina. That sounds very Ranger-ish to me.

I think that would be to much work to ask of the developers...I think it would be easier to just raise the cap on missions.

here is something else to kick around...what if rangers had the ability to pick what type of missions to get? It would be real great and go along with the fluff of the profession. You would go to a mission terminal and filter (like when using area track) the missions you want.
To make it more clear lets say I was on Correlia and wanted to hunt Durnies. You would go to a mission terminal, click and hold. The menu would appear, now at this point you could either select a mission like normal or have another option to sort (kinda like smugglers with their slicing tab). Click on the sort tab and it would ask Animals or NPC, click animals, another screen comes up, you choose Durnies. Now at this point you will get nothing but durnies by hitting refresh...if you close the screen you would have to do this over again because it would default to list missions (like normal).
c'mon keep this thread alive I know people want this for our profession.
That would work similar to the /track skill we should have gotten months ago. /track was supposed to spawn the critter of our choice, but it hasn't materialized yet. :/
