A ranger can get that ability now. A skill tree needs to be balanced more than it needs to make sense.

Is group terrain negotiation a good skill for SL's to have? i have 2 attachments that i am selling on the starsider trade forums right now that are a +5 to group terrain negotiation and a +2 group terrain negotiation. just wanted to know from the pros hehe

The Terrain Neogitation is, imo, the best ability for the squad leader. But that's because my guild and i do alot of hunting in hilly areas. Krayts end and Rancor valley. Makes kiteing around and going hunting a -lot- easier. Just as useful as formup.

Does the SL get this bonus or just the group? I do alot of solo hunting so it would just be me and a pet.

Both, but remember, after +50 tn, only crawl speed is effected.

if i have a +25 group terrain negotiaion ca and wanted to put it in my jedi's gloves, will it make me and my group negotiate terrain 25 points better without having any squad leader skills

No, you need to be a Squad Leader and be the group leader.
