It's been my experience that elite mobs completely ignore camo on most planets. You can walk past nightsister slaves, but try it on an elite spider clan at the cave and they don't even break it, they just attack.

There is a bug with the icon still being on under your ham bars, after you have gotten the message "your mask scent/camo has ended" or faded or whatever it says.

It seem's to me that the camo is treating us like normal players...no xp...doesn't work very well....not at all on lvl 79 or higher critters or npc's. Mask scent works better than camo at this time, I have checked both. I am Master.

I've discovered one very reproducible camo bug that would account for a lot of the varying results.
Camo generally works in the environment where you apply it, but NOT when you pass between "indoor" and "outdoor" environments. For example, if you walk up to the Spiderclan dungeon with camo on, the creatures outside won't detect you, but enter the dungeon and those inside will attack without breaking your camo. Apply the camo inside the dungeon and you'll get the opposite result, unmolested until you exit.
Kashyyyk's zones are full of boundaries of this type. On the Webweaver Trail, you may have noticed that if a spider is on a branch, and you're not on the branch, you "can't see your target" though it's 10m away from you. If you're on the branch and sneaking past the spiders, your camo is working there, but step off into feral wookiee territory and your camo has no effect.
I'll admit my biggest use of camo is as a factional Combatant, but if your Camoflauge skill is high enough (ie Wayfaring 4 or Master Ranger) it beats maskscent hands down.
