Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

If you want a challenge drop your combat profession and pick up a new one!

Heh. I dunno if that is such a good idea since xp might be harder to get in the near future, but I'm dropping rifleman for fencer soon. I made a test char on eclipse and I'm loving it so far.

I did already I have been a rifleman, pistoleer and *gulp* BH in the past. Dropped all Ranged combat for TKA in December.

EDIT: I have spelled Ranged (as in combat) R_A_N_G_E_R twice today...is that a sub-conscious thing?

Honestly, I am ok with us becoming weaker...I want to fear animals again, and be forced to use tactics instead of spamming specials.

Then you should use a polearm. You have to rely on everything else you can get your hands on, but not your weapon (it's unreliable, rarely hits, so you need to use traps and buffs and food and spice, etc.) Plus, if you use any specials you're gonna die lots faster than if you just stand there and wait.

/cheer bihlbo.

I dropped my pike once after being stunned. It fell on the pickets foot I was fighting, and actually hit. I was thrilled I had finally hit something.
