I always did like the heavy fighter-bombers like the B-wing and Y-wing.
However, depending on the paint jobs available I might just fly the "Lady Luck" type ship they promised us old timers. I guess the RP aspect will be along the lines of a an older luxury ship converter into a exploration vessel.

Well, I just want to know if there's a galactic mini-van equivalent.
gonna set myself up doing "Wildlife Tours" to the main POI and creature hunting grounds. Oh yeas.
I'll be there in Coronet, spamming like Billy-O, "transgalactic wildlife tours. See the mighty sarlacc, meet the graul marauder, kill a kimo and back in time for a top-up mind buff and hyperheal session in the uber ranger camp just outside town..."
Yup, after Master Ranger, am gonna be a bus driver.
yessum.
To add to this idea....i thnk i'll get a YT-1300 and name it "Beggar's Canyon Shooting Gallery", find a nicevalley like groove in a large asteroid and do hair raising flybys down it with passengers manning the gun turrets.
I'll thenhave a couple of my guildmates pilot fighters with names such as "Womp Rat one", "Womp Rat Two", and "Womp Rat Three"......effectively this would allow the passengers to attempt to"bullseye" the "womp rats"ON Beggar's Canyon.......
I wonder how popular this would be.........
*ponders*
er....but seriously, I plan on being the forward interceptor/scout for my flight of rebels in my A-wing.

Washell,
Im fully aware that there dates are always guessing. But if there all but about promising a spot in JTL beta. Then those dates are the right ones because they would have gotten them from SOE. As for the JTL release date itself. I dont believe that until i see something from a red name

(ever since the 5 floppy disc game Xwing, and the 2 floppy disk Bwing expansion, ive always wanted a Bwing and fly in space)

I think I'll get JTL to pass the time until the CB. As for ships, I have two chars right now, one leans toward the imperial side, the other is as close to a Hutt as he can get right now. So I plan on trying both of those factions out. I'll never be a rebel so you won't see me in an Xwing or Ywing or anything like that. I think I'll just try all three of the hutt fighters (work my way up the ladder), I hear they are extremely customiseable when it comes to appearance which appeals to me greatly. My other character will most likely be an interceptor pilot and will be overt all of the time just for the hell of it.
there is speculation that the final Multi Player neutral ship will be the firespray (slave 1). If that happens I may just have to get that one cuz I've always loved that ship.

heh heh, I was just going to post the same question. I was also curious as to whether any other rangers would be interested in JTL.
At this point, I'm planning on Imperial pilot, since my ranger character is a mid-level officer. I have another character who is a low-level rebel, so I may also go privateer with that one.

Yeah a Hutt fighter for me. BTW what are teh benifits of having Max positive points with the different factions. I only ask because I got a system message a couple days ago saying I couldn;t earn any more points in Jabba's Faction..

There aren't any at the moment. For rebs and imps you can use them to purchase faction perks, but for all other factions, all it means is that they won't attack you on sight (I think that includes some of the aggressive NPC's as well, but I'm not sure on that)

Hmm what ships will i get? hmm
The Hutt fighters look great so ill go neutral on Thor (main) then on my alt ill go rebel.
My ultimate set up would be:
Firespray
Medium Hutt Fighter
YT-1300
Yacht (vet reward - no ship lot cost i hope)
If we are allowed 4/5 ship lots i will add:
Light Hutt Fighter
Black Sun Fighter

If you have 5000 nightsister fp, they will actually help you fight anything you fight (if within range... very good for pvp, lol). As for me, ever since I was a kid seeing Star Wars for the very first time, I imagined myself flying one of those X-wings and doing a Death Star run, so its definately X-wing for me.
As for rangers in space... I would think in a time where space travel is common, exploring space is a natural extension of the wayfairer's heart. Anyone that loves nature and the outdoors knows the feeling of looking up at a clear night sky, and seeing thousands of stars, just wishing to be able to glimpse at their hidden treasures. Rangers in space? Heck, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I don't quite know what's wrong with me, but I think I will be trying to spruce up a Y-Wing, and that is an absolute certainty if the Y-Wing is realized as a two-seater. (aside: of course, that might tempt me to fly it solo anyway, and hop in the back on occasion like I was known to do in BF 1942) The Y-Wing is a much maligned craft, and rightly so in the stock configuration. But if we truly can modify these ships beyond conventional recognizability, a faster, sprightlier Y-Wing would be my aim.
