Creature mounts drop to a walking pace whenever you make an aggressive action "Your mount slows as you enter combat". Kiting wouldn't be an issue.

Anyway, you could just park a droid beside the creature and spam traps at it

trap exploit by throwing from a mount I would say Oscar (as in baloney). I have mastered ranger 2 times on different characters. THe second time I did the trapping line in 1 hr on a single horned vioritor lizard with glow wire traps. /snap. So I disagree with not bieng able to throw traps from a mount.

I think that artisen being able to sample from a mount makes no sense so Foraging (ha who actully uses) would be the same line how can you dig in the ground from a mount.

THe list of activities for a ranger to do from a mount is a pretty good list.

I would personnally like to see our skills passed along to our mounts....give them our terrain movement, there gallop should equal our burst run deration...etc...etc. Not sure if it is possible but think that would be nice

What about being able to mask scent/ conceal while on a mount?

The reason nobody uses a mounts is cause they are too slow compared to a vehicle.

The only idea in this thread that would make me own a mount is the item storage, however I still wouldn't ride it.

If the devs want people to ride mounts then they will have to make rugged terrain inaccesible by vehicles .. of course who wants that right .. but it would be the only way (and realistic too)

My bad i should have done my research better. I hate using someone elses idea and making it look like my own. It was just another one of my alcohol induced epiphanies. Sorry to whoever had this idea fisrt I was not trying to rip it off.

(moral of the story-drink more post less)

Um, trapping XP is already ridiculously easy... Just attack a creature until they are low on health and start running away, and then just follow them and toss traps like mad. Instant XP until you run out of traps....

I ride my mount every time I play and try to always be visible in public <like in coro> on my mount. I think it supports my ranger tag as well as adds some variety to the game. Lately I've been getting all kinds of tells from people whoask me"Where do I get a mount" etc. This shows me that players really arent used to seeing them used anymore. I remember when it was annoying to go sit outsideTheed or coro and you'd have to find a spot not being taken up by everyone's pets and mounts. I will always keep my white/light gray brakeset. It just looks cool.

If I could store my kills on my mount it would be great, just like my storage compartment on my droid. One thing I wish would change would be that a mount higher than lvl 10 doesn't have to be turned into a trainer to make it non ch friendly. Maybe just a spot on the radial menu giving you a choice to change the level to 10 so it can be mounted would be so much more convienient. Players could actually buy some of those high level BE pets knowing that all they have to do is click to make it a mount that they can use. BE's wouldn't have to make low level pets specifically for non ch's to use either.

Here's an Idea: I think being able to milkmy mount anddrink the milk straight right then as a health shake would be really cool. Y'know, to bring my health up a little after a fight or something

And where do you think bantha butter comes from? The BE tent?

Mmmmm... Brakeset milk, kind of earthy but doesn't have that gamey after-taste like a cup of cu-pa.
