As a community, I don't think we look down on partial Rangers as a whole. On my server it does appear that we are FOTM. As so many of us have stated , if you enjoy the template(for lack of a better term), then play it. Don't let a few people who disagree with the way you are playing bring your game down. You are playing it to enjoy it , not to listen to everyone else tell you how it should be played.


The community is here for advice and to help Rangers in general. I personally don't look down on any other players style of play. Have fun. In the end , its a game.






Totally agree with the above statement. Unlike other professions, partial Ranger just makes more sense for many. I am Master Ranger now and have been since Aug after launch but....that tag may need to go soon.


As MR, MCH and *cough* three blocks of pistoleer, I have 0 points left over. I can't really drop any combat, I'm wimpy enough as it is. I am not unhappy with my lack of combat but I can't train a single FS block without surrendering a Master title or dropping my much needed combat.


Master Ranger takes way too many points for the perks. We all understand this. I doubt you will ever be asked by a fellow Ranger, are you Master yet? We just don't see this profession that way.

wow i never though about jtl....i have it too lol i played it for the first couple of days and forgot it made good money lol...thanks

I hear ya. I personally don't take hunting jobs unless there is 30 cpu in it, simply cuz there's no money in it. I can make a ton more in space after just a few hours then scrounging for the itty bitty little creatures, dropping 30 units per kill scattered out all over the planet. There is a handful of things they can do with the Ranger profession, but they likely won't. First off, the skill points are messed up. I can't possibly hope to master it without droppping a few other things that are more important. Honestly, if they would just allow you to have multi chars on the same server...you would be allowd to play different chars, just not at the same time. They won't allow this, because they think you should own multiple games in order to do that. Good for them, people are actually conned into doing that, but I think it's ridiculous, and will just quit before I buy another character. That's the problem, they give you just enough skill points to want some more, but not enough to actually play different ways without starting all over. The only reason I still play, is because piloting costs no skill points.
