Its nice to hear, but the SL population has always been low. It doesn't attract people as much as being a Smuggler or a Bounty Hunter would. The concept of being a Ranger has more draw than Squad Leader. It stinks, but I can see why SL may have fallen off the radar.
That kinda goes in a circle though. The reason there are so few Squad Leaders is because the profession is so in need of dev attention. The word Squad Leader has a lot of draw. I tried it, my husband tried it, the two other guild leaders in my Radiant guild tried it. The reason we never stayed with it was because it just wasn't useful. Or perhaps, with a bow to Nemo0, we just did not have the level of patience to play it in the ways it is useful. But we all wanted to try it, because it sounded so cool, and was such an interesting concept. If it worked well and had, well, more I think it would have major attraction value.

also to get away from the pvp, (i dont like it much either) make it so the harvest ability has alot to do with the creature level. in the sense of if you wanna harvest from (x)lvl creature you need(y) lvl ranger for mobs.
box one of scout harvest can harvest from lvl 1 to x
box two can harvest from lvl x to y
and so forth and so on.

My thinking was give us the option to become part of the Galactic war. Not just harvesters, longing for the day when we used to track Kryat. It would give roleplayers(which I am)better places to go with characters as well, not just pvp.
If we are going to be the only profession that has 32 skill boxes after CU, I think I'm right there, then make us more versitile. It's only deserving, and we should all be up and shouting about it. We shouldn't be an uber scout for all those skillpoints. I think we should all be angry and tell them so.
I'm sure Dev's are busy right now, but I am not going to stop throwing ideas at them or voicing my concerns when I see something needs fixing with my usual dose of sarcasm.
One day..I'm really hoping, that one day I will write, in all seriousness, a thank you note to the Dev's. "you got it right"

Forgot to mention, I like that idea with Rangers find the smugglers, Jedi hunt the smuggler ring, and BH hunt the Jedi...ohhh a viscious circle. Brainstorming we call it at work, throw out an idea and someone else runs with it.

I know when I was walking back from seeing "the jedi master" (George) I heard one of the devs saying "yea, none of the devs like it either"... I wonder if this was it?At about 10:45? Dang, I just missed your question

During the signature section, I mentioned ranger conceal to greenmarine a few times, and as they were carting him offto the airport to get back to bugfixes,I gave quite a few more hints *cough*rangerconceal*cough* but I think he was too distracted by tiggs chasing him with the straightjacket.
FYI: I'm keeping Master Ranger on this account through thick and thin and just bi7ch about what's fixedjust as I have since I first earned it a couple months after release... not that I won't play one of my alts more for a bit during our "hard times"... I think my weaponsmith might be pretty darn busy for a while anyway getting my commando all his fancy new weapons =)

And I promise to make up for it during fanfest Anaheim as well as seeing if I can talk ronda and tiggs into letting me buy them drinks for not getting any food at the breakfast (it's all George's fault along with some stingy Indiana health code issues) *psst...anyone who tellsthem Inevereat breakfast unless it'slunch or dinner timeanyway gets arancor bone shoved where the sun don't shine*
