Thread: Ranger Fixes
Master Ranger / Mediocre Carbiner
Mask Scent was working for me tonight.
I created some new camo kits and applied them to my group. Against Krayts they did not break.
After a while I thought this is to long they shold have at least dropped by now. So I reapplied camo to the people I noticed still showing the ewok.
The camo applied, I tried on people who I had jsut applied camo to it would not.
Lead me to believe that the camo may be breaking its just the icon is not going away when it does break.
I also started reusing traps tonight. My past experience being they never stuck to krayts.
P-darts, glow wire, adhesive mesh were all sticking and came in handy. Nothing like having 3 krayts aggro on you applying adhesive to them Pdarts them and run up a hill fleeing from them.
Some bugs still but an improvement overall.
Hell I even found a use for camps tonight when people wanted to get rid of wounds.
I was using old endor camo kits tonight on Ahazi and could not get /conceal to apply to anyone... however if I /masked or one of my guildies was masked, when I tried to apply the camo kit I got the your target is already concealed message.
I was more perturbed that some mobs like Toxic Merek Battlelords would re-engage and incap again before you could even finish standing up and eventually triple-incap, and others were insta-DBing... I know there was a recent update that said "some creatures will always DB now" but I also remember an upadate not long ago where they got rid of insta-DB to give you time to get healed or dragged off by a medic or FOW and escape. Many times when I could get up, they would also see me perform a heal on myself or others and use that as the trigger to incap again.

Does the creature detail window matter now? With resists and vulnerabilities gone I'm not sure what else they could put in the examine window. Right now it doesn't matter what type of damage you use on creatures you just want to use your highest dps weapon.
I don't think they are gone. I tried to fight a nightsister stalker with a laser rifle and did almost no damage before she put her pike through my head. Outcasts and rancor tamers I can take, as I could before the CU. But it looks as though I still have to avoid the energy immune (or at least highly resistant)stalkers.

I thought this too, but I too was insta-slain last night by a high level Nova Trooper ![]()
Slightly OT, but is anyone else have problems with mission lairs despawing? I don't like having to resort to lairs but most planets I've been on have been devoid of life let alone devoid of high level mobs. It seems if I'm grouped with a friend, our missions seem to despawn either when we get near the waypoint (actually see the mobs and lair) or randomly while we are engaged in combat with the mobs.
Resists are there and alive. If you ask a bio-engineer to sample the creature and give you the sample, you would see resists like they were before the patch. The only difference is the DNA is borked beyond usability because creatures beyond lvl20 have medium armor stats that make them unclonable. Well, you can clone a lvl228 creature but can't possibly tame it.
