for god's sake.........you don't grind ALL THE WAY THROUGH one of the toughest professions to accomplish, then say "I don't like this" you know if you don't like something before you've filled your first few exp boxes.

100% correct. You can grind through weaponsmith and hate every minute of it, then enjoy the big payoff at the end. You can struggle through Pikeman and feel like the most inept combatant this side of an ewok nursery until you master it and realize that you only suck compared to other masters now.

But if you don't like being a Ranger as a novice, it's not going to get any better with more skill.

Relax,
your little rant is just as "sad and timewasting( thats not a word, i know)" as those leaving threads. those actually help in a way because then we can see ways to improve the class. I know this is a kinda old thread and i dont want to beat a dead falumpaset, but your being a bit hypocritical and i hope you realise that

I think he is just talking about the people who come to this forum and talk smack about the ranger profession. Which is fine, i'd rather not read post about the ignorant ones who just want to fill our board up with rants and flames. So i can see where he is comming from......if that's what he meant by his post.

The way he came off was a little hostile and aggressive, which is not how us rangers like to deal with things. For those of us who have been on these forums for a while all know we are the most mature profession board on this site (Well hey, i like to think so )

Now, i don't agree with him if he is talking about ALL people who are dropping Ranger not being able to posttheir feelings inhere. I have read many good posts of Master Ranger's leaving the profession, but did a well-written goodbye, thanking the ranger community for what it's done. I have no problems with thosethreads. Actually i respect them and enjoy reading their experiences while a ranger.

Thats what i think of this.

Well, I can see the finishing post now, I've got about 10K of camping before the slog through to get HTFB and then I'm there. It's been a nice run (not overly difficult but frought with chasing beasties and daring do so I've enjoyed it thus far. I'll be in it for the long haul after that too. Ranger is a nice proffession and even if we don't work as we should, we make do and just get on with it, and after all...isn't that what being a Ranger is about?

I agree with you Spoff, I dont like reading all the crap about how bad the Ranger profession is. I preordered SWG , and started up the Ranger chain as soon as I could. I did not holo grind, and it took me a long time, since I dont play daily like many others do. I have been a Master Ranger for quite a long time now, I believe since around the July 2003 time frame, and love it more every day. Do I hope and wish and pray every day that the devs will throw us a freaking bone one of these days, of course, why wouldnt I,but the profession is still great as is. (DONT TELL THE DEVS I SAID THAT IT) . For all those people that want to quit Ranger, quit, if you were not smart enough to realize Ranger is an extension to scout, then we dont want you as comrades anyway. Long live Rangers and the Ranger Profession!

I wasn't a Master Ranger until August/September, and I thought I was playing pretty hard and fast back in those days... Obviously I'm still a casual player even compared to other casual players.

Does that make me a casualer player?

I did not mean to put the Master in there. I became a Ranger in July, mastered also in August time frame. Sorry for the confusion.
