So, back in the days when the Holocrons had voices that made people do daft things, I was briefly a commando.

I go to the trainer, get my novice badge, head to my local WS and get tooled up. The guild i was in were going off on a hunt but I said I had to go deal with some business...

yup, just outside Espa with a flamethrower, roasting kreetles and cackling like a mad thing. The launcher pistol was 'just the ticket' for taking down their little gangs.

I only stopped after the lag got so bad I was making people warp halfway across town ) But OOOH, I felt better for it.

ROFL, literally... ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING (Oh, the tears) !!!! (I got killed by one when, as a newbie, Ifirst dared to leave Dearic !)

This is too funny. I started in Nashal as noob. One daywas traveling about 200m outside the city, I spied a Rasp. Wow. nice looking bird I thought as I went to kill it. No sooner did I hit it, then about 12 of them chased back to city.

I remember as a noob that I really like GSP's better than rasps. Big cats kill quick. Stoopid birds just squawk alot, hard to hit, and group together worse than ewoks on endor.

On the original poster's topic: I've never had a problem with Kreetles OR Rasps. It isn't because I am an Imp either. Ask ANY random stormtrooper patrol, I am Rebel. Every blinkin patrol I pass outs me as a Reb. ALL of them. And now they are freaking impossible to beat.

/salute them.

For myself and a lot of my early guild members it was shauputs. We decided to build a town south of lake retreat, well 4k south of it, premount/vehicles. And they were always in our city and they constantly killed us.

Oh those were the days. Now i kill every space monkey on principle

Yup. Shauputs, Kreetles, Rasps... they all break maskscent or camo for me.... I think they are following me too. Everytime I turn around there they are.... inching closer just waiting until I become distracted and entering combat... then WHAMO!!.... a creature has detected you... I'm saving faction so I can get me a Death Star and wipe em all out.

Remember.... just because you are clinically paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Dear Ranger Community,

Although I am not one of you I felt I had to comment on this subject. I trust you will forgive my intrusion.

You see, Rasps are very dear to my heart, in a mad stabbing kitchen knife, Rasp flambe, type of way. Let me explain...*twitches*

I live on Talus and find maskscent to be invaluable to my normal 'business activities' and vital when hunting on Endor with a certain Master Ranger. Gleaming Lantern Birds, I'm ok most of the time. Come within 65 metres of a Rasp on Talus and it breaks, all the time, everytime. As a young smuggler I was often to be seen Re-enacting scences from Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds'.

I am deeply convinced it is a Rasp conspiracy and on the occasion I used feign death (yes I know, the shame), they happily fluttered about overhead, twittering and tormenting me as if to say, "We know what you're doing, we can wait......or go fetch those Famished Sludge Panthers."

Perhaps this is explanation for why I find it necessary to uselow blow onthem all (Not so clever now you can't fly are you..hah!) or for my overwhelming habit of getting them all to chase me and run them into the nearest patrol of Stormies/CorSec/Rebels. PerhapsI should not laugh so manically while I do this.

I hope that SWG will soon have the Therapist Profession added and that Rasp: Anger Management 1 will be a skill.

Safe, Rasp free, travels to you all.
