You can do it, just use the +root+ skill. No prob actually. I have a master pistoleer pal, he helped me out last night.

I did it tonight. Took an adolescent first to see, then a grand, then the ancient. Took me 7 mins for the adol, 15 for the grand, and 30 for the ancient. Had some guy hang out awhile asking how I was doing it, but he luckily didn't attack it. Later on I had some other guy say he'd report me, but he died awhile later trying to take an adolescent. Told him I just wanted to kill it and that he ought to report the people farming these things, heh.

This root thing may be a bug, but it's a well deserved one it seems. Never felt more proud as a ranger to take down krayts. Glad to have learned of this ability through the forum, so that at least I can say I've done it, once upon a time..

Yeah, a lot of people have been doign this actually. I have been helping crafters do this sort of stuff, mostly they want to killa Krayt and be done with it. Had over extremely unfortunate instance when the ancient escaped my root and killed.. well, me and 6 CL1 crafters, but other than that I have always been sucessfull, even without a lot of cool attacks. Takes about 15 minutes usually. sometimes we do have loot hunters run in and try to take them, but they dont realize that the other's in the graveyard will attack them without camo They die quickly, even the Jedi, with a few grands and an adolescant on them, and we continue to plunk away at it till he falls. Yay, badge woohoo. And just a question- these badges are content badges, as in they help get to Jedi? Oh boy, I may have to end this little safari business if it means more Jedi...

For some reason, the more people you have in your group, the more common it will be to scape the trap. I hunt solo, or with a maximum of 2 others. I would never hunt krayts with more (again).....they just break the trap to regularly. (you know...for a "broken" trap....it seems to have alot of structure to it.) If someone else aggros it....it will break....if someone else does a KD attack...it will break. If more people in party....it will break....hmmm.

(looks at monkey).....well of course we are going to fling poo at him

I'm pretty sure it's a mob badge, not a content badge. So I doubt it counts towards Jedi-isms.

Intresting idea about the Tour Guide stuff. Never thought of doing that. Might be fun. I know the gorax is on endor, but any common spawing areas? The katarn someone mentioned earlier I have never even heard of.

Also for those who have soloed the krayts anyone do it with out a root. Might be something I would try just to see if I could do it. I am a Master Rifleman/Master Ranger. I do not have a root and I do not really give up any rifleman or ranger.
